Using a Sega Megadrive video game console to make EDM?!?!?!?
The Sega Genesis uses the YM2612 OPN2 chip, which comes from the same family of FM chips as the infamous DX7, PC Soundblaster, many Coin-Op arcade machines, and other video game chipsets.
It's actually a trivial formality to turn an FM chip into a synthesizer and many Chiptune producers have taken things far further than LookMumNoComputer's pedestrian efforts.
I explain more here.
That's another flash twenty years back into the past, EDM's very own storm deity.
Yeah, DJ Sonikku made an album from the Mega Drive chipset. Plenty of EDM artists were also inspired by the groundbreaking work Yuzo Koshiro did for the Streets of Rage series.
Hamburg based Remute released the first ever Genesis cartridge album in 2019, called Technoptimistic. It's actually really good. I bought the CD that came with the ROM file. Includes a bonus music video.
StoneAge Gamer carries the Deluxe edition which comes with the cartridge, cassette, manual and Deluxe case:

Does anyone know what track this is? [Time stamped for convenience]
I don't know what it is, what genre does this even fall under? I love it.
