Who the fuck is "Timmy Trumpet"?

Bigger question: who's still bothering to vote in this thing, especially after nearly 2 years of clubbing inactivity?

Wait, where's Hardwell? I know he 'retired', but that's never stopped DJs getting voted in before.

My main take away from this is that business techno really is big business now.

How did Green Velvet get in there though

He really fell off of the map , other than continuing on with his record label.

However you're right that usually dont stop fans from voting, in most instances, daft punk was a great example of that in previous years.

With how old David guetta is ,and how much he's done in the pop-o-sphere , I would imagine he would have slowed down by now or lost some steam, but there appears to be no signs of that, he is only becoming stronger

1.3 million people

1.3 million people out of 7 billion decided who the top 100 dj's are

I guess they were mainly based off of , streamed sets , and the few virtual festivals , in addition to tracks

Despite this, territories where clubs opened up early clearly benefited from the physical event experience. China, whose clubs have been open for approximately 18 months now, has seen a huge expansion in its vote share. Following a 480% increase last year, almost 15% of the overall votes in 2021 came through our dedicated China voting platform. There are eight Chinese DJs in the poll this year, the highest number ever, which includes six of the 13 overall new entries (Panta.Q, GIFTBACK, KAKA, Luminn, Alexso, Dexter King). Elsewhere in Asia things are also on the up. The continent has the second highest number of DJs representing overall, plus South Korean DJ Peggy Gou claims the Highest Climber award as she moves up 31 places to No. 38.

Hmmm... how soon before this poll is completely dominated by Chinese/Korean acts, y'all wager? Save some Dutch 'legacy' DJs, of course.

Always good to see Angerfist still there

Mikey Mike once said I don't register a blip on his radar. Looks like he was right.

Posted by Midlothian on Oct-17-2021 19:39:

Do you want to talk about it

Posted by planetaryplayer on Oct-17-2021 19:41:

Maybe he doesnt have the right type of radar bro

Posted by Midlothian on Oct-17-2021 20:33:

Don't get your periscope up before a proper blip is registered

Si, si. El tech house generico

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Oct-18-2021 18:52:

I know it's a meme these days for techno wankers to bash "tech house" (thanks Dave Clarke) but there's no actual tech house on there, is there?

Dirtybird crew strangely absent.

Posted by Midlothian on Oct-18-2021 23:52:

There's no actual trance on there either

I'm surprised John summit is not on this list, he's a young tech house dj from Chicago I believe, and there seems to be a lot of hype surrounding him right now ,pretty active on Twitter, and he's sort of turning into the gatekeeper for rave/edm kids crossing over to the other genres like tech
