Sasha and Digweed: May 7th Los Angeles
https://www.insomniac.com/events/sa...los-angeles-ca/
Sasha and Digweed making an appearance in Los Angeles. We've bought tickets. Should be a fun reunion for many of the old school folks. They're playing at the Midway in SF the night before as well.

I love how Sasha & Diggers always bring out all the olds every single time
Also going to SF show. Was at their last show and have had these tickets for over 2 years now.

Well that was an AARP meet up
I dont think there was anyone there under 40 lmao
Sasha & Diggers brought the house tho. Wicked dark, driving prog. So good to hear those boys go at it again. Why in gods name did they split up again?!? Theyre so much better together. I find both of them to be extremely boring now a days, but put them b2b and they cant do any wrong. Nobody does it better.
Great show. We almost made it to close - 3:45. they played 4.5 hours
Madam Zolas closed just a few minutes before we tried to grab some 1:30am fries. Was sad.
I love the midway

Loved how they closed with Liquid Cool! Disappointed I didnt see Billy. I heard he didnt last and went home at 9
haha!
We actually stayed till the end. But it was hell the next day. Drinking sucks.
Review:
Music:
Music was good but wasn't great. Played some tracks that I would associate with S&D> From some friends, it sounded like they performed a lot better the night before in SF. Perhaps because it was a night party and The Midway is one of the BEST venues in the state let alone the country.
Venue:
Place looked like shit. We were dancing on dirt. I know it's supposed to have an "underground feel" but it felt but it didn't really fell that way. Production felt minimal (which is no big deal for me). If you were back by the bars (which is where I hung out most of the time), you could hear but couldn't feel the music. You had to make your way up close. Which we did and now probably have Covid
Friends:
Without a Doubt, this was the BEST part of everything. I never went to my high school reunion because everyone sucked but THIS event made up for that. I got to see nearly everyone I had grown up with in my adult life. People I've had the privilege and honor to befriend over the past 18 years in SoCal. Truly amazing. I felt like I probably spent more time takling to people than I did listening to the music. Which honestly, I prefer. That's kinda what I like doing these days. Just hanging out snorting zoloft
Hangover:
Fuckkkkkk...I did a lot of drinking that afternoon/evening. A lot of herbal medication for my glaucoma too. Got home just after midnight and passed out. Had to wake up at 5AM to take care of the baby (let Gina sleep as that was my Mothers Day gift to her
). The entire day was shot.
In Conclusion:
Fuck partying. I'm done. Going to work on my rap career now. You can call me by my new name: Flex Luger.
nice write up Billy!
I saw some videos, the production looked really meh - i was expecting it to be how eric prdyz was last august, that production/sound was out of this world!
