A tech trance tune called "Plexiglass"
I've got it into my stupid mind that I recently stumbled across a techy, trancey proggy tune from the 2000-2001 era by the name of Plexiglass. I initially assumed it was an Oliver Lieb track, but neither Discogs nor Google support that notion. Is this just something I've imagined, or can one of TA's few remaining classics enthusiasts solve the riddle?
Oliver Klein*, side B of Rheinkraft.
Yes! I knew you wouldn't let me down, Mid. Also explains why I had the name "Oliver" in my head.
Here's the tune. Now to figure out where the hell I heard it. Any famous sets with it in?
Turns out I'd never even heard it in a set. It was a mislabel of Rheinkraft in a Seb Fontaine tracklist, where Seb plays immediately after Sasha as part of a live Essential Mix broadcast.
What's that? You don't care, you say? Oh, sorry.
Kinda insulted you didn't ask me, for the record
O' ye of "Never reads his FB messages"? I thought I'd open it up to the floor, and Quick Draw McLothian got there first.
Know your place Lewsie
Ah missed opportunity for "you win some you lews some"
I've never heard of the track, actually
I'm not going to claim it's a masterpiece, but it's from that early '00s tech trance genus that would definitely get me gurning on a decent soundsystem. When I realised it wasn't a Lieb tune I started searching through the catalogues of similar teeth-grinding sledgehammer salesmen like Corvin Dalek and Timo Maas, to no avail.
Sounds like something exactly in between DK - Murder Was The bass and Sander Kleinenberg - My Lexicon
Rheinkraft goes well with something like La Forge - Second Contact:
Cliff Tangredi - Shimmer works, too (it doesn't suffer much from being pitched down a bit):
Rheinkraft was licensed to Maelstrom Recs. in the UK, which I believe released a bunch of similar stuff in 2001 and 2002 as well.

Man, Underworld's lyrics have really gone downhill.
Speaking of Oliver Klein, what a tune this is. Anyone have a decent digi file please?
