I'm attending U of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon right now, and I have no complaints. From what I hear we have one of the better psych programs, but I'm not in the field so don't quote me on that.
Saskatoon is a university city at heart (something like 20% of the population is from the uni) so there's lots of things to do/places to go. A local DJ shop throws parties fairly often. They're not the greatest (it seems to be all hard house up here) but they do exist. And the bar scene is pretty good too. If you do come here, I recommend you live in residence, it's a wonderful experience and a great way to meet tons of people (and being able to walk to class is a bonus too!)
If you've got any more questions gimme a shout.
calgary is alive and well in the party side of things
there is a train station right on campus so travel isn't a problem
and since the best places to party are downtown, and the train goes downtown, it's pretty convienent to live on campus
as well, the campus is just on the ohter side of the river from downtown, so it's pretty accessable from anywhere
i haven't taken any classes there yet, but i have hung out on campus a lot
it's a party campus, you could have loads of fun here, plus there's all us TAs here that can show you a good time
ok, school-wise, SFU in vancouver is pretty good when it comes to psych. supposedly (what my prof said) they have the toughest and most comprehensive intro course. i took it, and it was crazy, you learn lots of shit but the transition from high school to that is insane.
UBC i heard has an easier psych program, i stress the fact that i heard.
when it comes to getting around from schools, its not as easy as in calgary. at UBC there's a club so you dont always have to go downtown. but the campus is big so i guess enough ppl throw lots of parties there. SFU is quite far from downtown, its also up on a hill so a limited number of buses go up there. there's also a bar up there so its not all bad
overall, when it comes to education, the two schools are good, but when it comes to partying, its not all that great but ppl throw lots and lots of parties at the res. also lots ppl have cars so they drive downtown or wherever on the weekends
THankx guys.. a lot.. !!!!
the social life at UBC is awsome...
and plus, there's a nude beach right beside the campus!
you should take a look at the Mcleans university-review edition... could be some useful info in there.
