Who else listens to Old trance, circa 97 and older?
Im addicted at the moment to listening to Perfecto Flouro from 1996, the trance containted is so beautiful and different from nearly everything today. To hear the massacering Mystery Land has had this year, it brings a tear to my eye to hear the original, vinyl crackles and all.
So, who are fans of old-school Oakenfold, tracks from the Perfecto back-catalogue, Man with no name productions etc? Surely there must be a fair few on this board.
Fluoro's great, but MAgik 1 (from 97 i believe) is just amazing
pretty much just pvd's x-mix and if u consider bt's ima trance thats about it
I'm into Sasha and Digweed's Renaissance mixes from 95. Still sound great everytime I play them.
find this old track
:
Eden Transmission - I'm So High
Michael Kandel and Tom Chasteen released one single under the name Eden Transmission. If you were going to raves in the early 90's, chances are pretty good you heard this one.
the track is from 1993.....
does eurodance count?!
Yeah I like the old-school stuff with more of a goa-ish sound to it.
I've got a tape here from DJ Cross inthe 538 Party Night in 1994! It's awesome!
Awesome tracks we're played like:
Secret Cinema - Timeless Altitude
Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling On
Dimitri & Jaimy - On The Discotrain
Smooth Touch - Come And Take A Trip
Brings back memories from when I was 13 years old!
Yes, the 1997 Epic Trance that came out of the UK is and always will be my favourite style. My all time favourite is The Space Brothers - Shine , released in May May 1997. Right now I'm actually listening to Zee - Dreamtime (Quivver Vocal Mix) from June 1996.

the stuff that i listen to from back in teh day are
old ttf albums like vol 2
forbidden paradise albums, especially 5-7, i think all out before or during 97
hello liquid, long time no c.
i love forbidden paradise 07 too. but the best track from before 1997 (as far as i've heard) is:
man with no name - teleport from 1994. amazing stuff!
/me listens often to the Earthtrance album (1996).
Still pretty good tracks in a good mix ... this album was once the first time I listened to the psychedelic side of trance...
/me is proud of his copies of Man With No Name - Earth Moving The Sun LP(Vavoom!,Seratonin Sunrise) and Transient vol.2(Koxbox,Astral Projection - Mahadeva (Original) and X-Dream).All on vinyl. They own
Robert Miles - Dreamland and 23 AM (albums) belong in here, as they are from 1996-07-24 and 1997 and are GREAT!!! I reccomend Omniglobe - C'mon Yo! too for the pianoes that are in there. I purchased Dreamland on the same day it came out and still listen to it today. I never was able to find a Trance album that was as beautiful as this. If you liked Sunday Club - Healing Dream, Robert Miles - Children (Dream Version), GET THIS ALBUM! You WILL NOT be disappointed! I have Forbidden Paradise 3 - 11 now and this series shows how Trance evolved over the years. I'm still dying to hear the first 2 as they were from 1994/1995 (I think, I KNOW 3 was from 1995-07-31) and they weren't mixed by DJ Tisto.
Woohoo!! Finally a thread topic i like!
I listen mostly older stuff really, between 93-98. Any of the recent tunes have't really struck into me, dunno why though. Maybe they are lacking "the thing" for me..
Old Sven Vth from 92-94 is great, mostly calm and trancy. Also Humate - Love Stimulation and Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar, both from '93 were my first true trance tunes back then. And then of course the UK Epic Trance (Qattara, Heliotropic, Trouser Enthusiasts,.. from the mid 90s are still great.
I agree with most previous replies about the good tunes of back then.
i used to listen to hard trance back then, likie the tunnel trance for albums and shit, and happy hardcore, was good stuff
system f - out of the blue album
I still listen to and collect a lot of early trance between '92-95 from labels such as Eye Q, Frankfurt Beat, Harthouse, Le Petit Prince, Overdrive, Hyper Hype, Energized, MSF, Important, etc.
Three vinyls I recently bought.

I was looking for Salt Tank "Skyline" for so long and have finally got it. I bought the following two for the Qattara remixes which are both REALLY good.

Fluoro is great! I my self am a connosuier of all perfecto releases, to me all man with no name productions are class.
extreme trax - final fantasy
rmb - love is an ocean
things from dj phillip, komakino, marino stephano, moon project
trance in 97 and 98 is the best
PvD's sets from 1997-1998 are quite special
