Dunno Cosmicgate, dumonde, ferry, Pvd **School?

Do these producers out there go to school
and learn how to produce trance tracks?

or do they just read something off the net?
throw in a few samples together and hope to make something nice

Producers/djs such as cosmicgate, dumonde, ferry, Pvd

did they learn how to produce (class? music education in trance then produce) or something?
i know some have music background taking piano lessions and stuff but producing trance hmm?

how about TA producers?
do you guys read alot on how to produce a track to know where everything goes and how to use the equipment?

i mean do you teach yourself like djing its easy to pick up anyone can teach themself after a few years listening to trance,
you will learn the style, structure, how it should flow and you just mix it
listening to live sets also helps alot

but as for producing? someone teach you?
or simply experiment for years and years and hope that one day you will produce something that will rock this world!

I think the most learned it by doing and when you hear the first productions from this artists I think it will be as good as the most newcomer producers here!

Don't forget they don't produce since yesterday, most of them are in the business for years, but just got big in the last years!

@everybody

Hi, please don't see us like "omnicient" people who always know how to do a track from the very first start until the end... yes we learned it step by step and our first productions sounded like sh**, too!
Believe me, it's all a matter of continuing the thing. You got to really be keen on the producing thing to gain this level I think. And keep on doing it, doing it...improves it by the time.

And we've been doing this for almost 10 years now. Just to let you know.

I'm visiting this page from time to time and I really like your discussion threads! It's the best trance board I've ever seen and I have to say "thank you" for your support!!! Keep it alive!

Best regards

PvD learned about the technical side of trance by watching the DJ at his East-German disco. Because he was in the scene since 1991 it wasn't hard to follow the new stuff coming out.

Producers who started later on learned most of it from fellow DJ's or just by trying things I guess...

Then we even have more to celebrate !!! I just hope it will be crowded 'cause I think it got a bit less during the last months in the U.K. which is a shame! And this night will be great!

Tisto started off with producing hardcore, because he just didn't know how to create trance songs. (Hardcore was pretty big in Holland at that time.)
