Been such a shit winter so have been getting out skiing as much as possible....so that's what I did Friday.
Took a ski trip out to BC a couple weeks ago and THAT was killer. All the people we chatted with on the lifts said we had the best snow/weather all season!
Hey check out out, DJ RANN'S spa is in the news:

I guess this has been the impact of adulting on our Friday threads: I was seriously thinking of seeing Sepultura tonight for their farewell tour. But, I ended up looking after my in-laws and chilling out playing Civilization and doing paperwork at the farm.
So, yeah, no bloody roots for me this weekend, so hardly a post-worthy event in the Lira household

Last week was... eventful. Our cat managed to swallow some sewing thread which perforated his intestine, so he had to get rushed into surgery to have 30% of his gut removed, so I spent most of the week stressed as fuck he was going to die and rack up an enormous veterinary bill in the process. He's home now, the fluffy little idiot.
Then on Friday night I had my first DJ gig of the year, and it ended up being probably the most fun I've ever had playing out. I hadn't had time to practise at all in the build up so I had no idea what I was going to play 10 minutes before I went on the decks. I thought I was going to balls it up completely when my first tune cleared half the people off the dancefloor, but I ended up steadying the ship and building it up until the place was going off. To go from panic to getting applauded off the decks with no prep in advance was especially satisfying.
I played this one with a few BPM knocked off it in the middle of my set, and it still does the business:

Now Photobucket makes you pay, I don't have anywhere Web 1.0 enough for this forum to upload a photo and I'm not sure I can be arsed to create an account somewhere just so you can see my cat.
His name is Claude and he's just over a year old. He's black and long haired and although he's a slender fellow his tail is a whopping 14" long, making it look like a gigantic black feather duster. When he's happy and he's getting fussed he'll curl it so far over the tip bonks him on the forehead. He's also a fucking lunatic who likes to destroy everything he touches, and apparently he likes the taste of string.
And no, "Claude" isn't my password anywhere, wannabe hackers.

Hey Tranceaddict fam,
I'm thrilled to share my plans for this upcoming Friday night with you all! It's shaping up to be an epic evening filled with excitement and good vibes.
To kick things off, I'll be meeting up with some friends at a local spot in Toronto for a pre-party dinner. We're hitting up this awesome new Italian restaurant that just opened up downtown. I've heard rave reviews about their pasta dishes, so I'm definitely looking forward to indulging in some delicious carbs before the night kicks into high gear.
After dinner, we'll head over to catch a soccer match at the stadium. There's nothing quite like the energy of a live game, and I'm pumped to cheer on my favorite team with fellow fans. Plus, the atmosphere in the stadium is always electric, making it an unforgettable experience every time.
Once the final whistle blows, it's time to transition into the main event: a trance music extravaganza at one of Toronto's hottest clubs. The lineup for tonight is stacked with top-tier DJs spinning the latest tracks and classic anthems. I can already feel the anticipation building as we make our way to the dance floor, ready to lose ourselves in the music and vibe with the crowd.
As the night progresses, I'll be soaking in every moment, from the pulsating beats to the euphoric melodies. And with the help of the ChatGPT API, I'll be sure to stay connected with all of you throughout the evening, sharing updates and exchanging thoughts on the tunes that are moving us.
So buckle up, Tranceaddict crew, because Friday night is about to be one for the books! Can't wait to dive into the trance with you all.
Cheers,
Eric
It's been a while. I just logged in today after I don't know how long. I was reading through old threads yesterday and it was like taking a trip down memory lane. We had some great times on TA, and many of us used to get together in person. Some of us even married each other. 😂
I am so thankful this forum still exists. ❤️
