House/ Uplifting/ Whut?!

OK, so this thread focuses on 2 questions I've been pondering the last few days, connected at each other:

1) What is 'Uplifting House'
2) Some people say Club Trance is in fact a sub genre of House... anyone care to explain?

uplifting house = uplifting trance
the trance that we know 2day is actually evolved from melodic house...

as many will say to ya, the real "trance" is psy trance, but that doesnt matter if ur not dealing in psy trance...
anyway i dont think that the "trance" ur hearing today is trance at all, its house music, but thats comes from a point of view of a person that was raised by psy trance, its just a matter of ur POV (Point Of View)...

lol, thats what everybody say, but thats not true, ever heard jazz-house?
maybe techno is not melodic, but not house... u all remember the sinple "spaceman" of "baby lone", its an old record from 96, in that time the trance u know today didnt existed yet, now listen to the "space dream mix", and tell me if thats not melodic, i know this cos i collected alot of old electronic records over the time, and u can listen to the, and u see what house was like before 10 yrs, and it was all melodic, in that time there was no deep house, only progressive house, and that was barely... so now u see what i mean???

in he original trance there was no melodies at all, it was a game of FX and beats, but it really depands on the POV, i think that this tune is deep house...

Sneaker Pimp

The term "house" has changed over the years but I'm from Chicago and I can say when I was in 6th grade we used to breakdance to mixes from BMX that were recorded at The Warehouse. (a club in Chicago)
Also the first "house" songs were basically disco songs with a backbeat. I think Frankie Knuckles used to take old disco songs and early Depeche Mode songs and add a backbeat with a Roland drum machine. so in a way disco evolved into house which evolved into trance. Even though I HATE happy house!!!!

Nice thread...

Personally, lately I've been having hard times trying to consider club trance (like the stuff from AvB and Tiesto) as a trance at all -- heck, sometimes it even seems to me a little bit cheesy!

Oh, and Vortex_SA:

It's Mach 747 - Invading Privately (29 Palms Remix) to be more precise.

Continue the discussion, please!

I think as dance music moves forward genres blend into other genres and artists listen to a lot of different genres. They might think a bass line from a trance track is good, a synth from a techno track, and vocals from a house track. I think people need to stop classifying the music they listen to as Uplifting Trance House or whatever they want to call it, and replace all genres with only 2.

Good Music
or
Bad Music

you are so right. That is exactly the thing I'm doing at the moment, there are 2 folders for my singles:

( 01 ) -= ELECTRONiCA =- --( Favorite Producers -=- Singles )--
( 02 ) -= ELECTRONiCA =- --( No Favorites -=- Singles )--

I keep the "bad" tracks for sharing, because tastes are different.

What are you refering to there?
tunes like:
Thomas Bangalter & Dj Falcon - So Much Love To Give
Tim_Deluxe feat. Sam_Obernik - It Just Won't Do (Club Mix)
Narcotic Thrust - Safe From Harm (Main Club Mix)

or...?

I'm just curious
