Hey... I`ve got trouble in programming a nice trance-type of snare ( a long-sounding one )... does anybody have any tips for making this kind of sound or does anybody know a www-site were I could find these kind of sounds?

You mean like a hi-hat kind of sound, or more like a ride symbol.

Just get a sample library of percussion. This will fill you up with snares of all sorts. As for downloading samples, have a look at the thread at the top of this board about "where to download quality samples"
