music w/ a "crowd"
what do u all think of tracks that have a "Built in" crowd?
u know....tracks that whenever it gets into a certain part of the song, in the background, you hear a roaring crowd.
if im making a demo i don't like that shitty ass crowd in the backgrond but i don't know some people like it i think
it's pretty common in hard house
when played live, it helps and can pump up the live crowd even more
i don't have many of those records, not really a fan of them myself
but i have seen it work to the djs benefit
well as DJ_Shockwav says.. sometimes it helps out the DJ
but personally... eeeeK sumtimes they sound crap ass and nore very good.. just a cheap way of making everyone like the song? lol
who knows.. personally i wouldn't use them...
ur in it for the trance and not the background cheese!!!
I think Signum - Solar Level is cool, can't think of any other decent ones atm
L.O.S.P. - the sound of liberty
this track uses the crowd really well in the break down with a dirty 3/4 beat pattern. It works well in harder genres and make the corwd get all excited. I like them myself, as long as its subtle
i think a mix of kernkraft 400 had a crowd singing along with the tune, if i remember correctly from all those years ago!
beauty of silence has a crowd i think.
Can you Dig it has massive crowd sounds to it.
They are horrible.
I really hate them! they totally ruin it i reckon. I suppose they MIGHT at times be ok for a live set, if the crowd gets into it. But for a mix tape no go! luckily i have no songs with that crap built into it. My friend does and he seems to like it but, so everyone has their opinions.
Yes yes, I have a few records like that!
Like Starsplash - Rainbow in the Sky, Mass Medium - Mindblower, etc.
I think if you're recording a mixed CD, as I usually do, it can make things interesting to the home listener

Yeah, I've got Lenny Kravitz (Shane 54 Pink Flood Mix). This one 's got a roaring crowd too. I don't mind it that much, as long as they aren't crappy
greetz
PERFECT SONG! AS AN EXAMPLE:
Rhythm Gangsta'z - Crowd Song (Original Extended Mix)

Push - Universal nation (Live version), heh, but that one is recorded live, so it's real

Just try to make the crowd go off and shout like crazy bitches by giving them a nice live set!
They won't notice the crowd in the background of the song, they would think that it is the sound from some people in front of them!
Re: music w/ a "crowd"
I have no idea whether or not this is your style, but Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 (Live Mix) has some really neat chanting in it.

Public Domain - Rock Da Funky Beats (Bumping Bass) and Future Breeze - Temple of Dreams (kr00-t0n) have background crowds
I don`t like the crowd stuff in songs!
My old record G-Spot - Melo-G have some crowd sounds in it and I think that makes the record less interesting
