yah...

a little disappointing...one rat versus 3 or 4 pirhana isnt much of a match. maybe if there were equal numbers of rat and fish, and some were rigged to blow. the casualties woulda been more equal then|

Yeah, IMO it is kinda sick. It might seem funny but that is an animal getting killed. I guess it is nature but humans are causing this to happen...if it weren't for the pople who put the rat in there, it would have survived but I guess rats are experimented on all the time and killed anyway so I dunno. It's only cool as it shows how quick piranha's can eat something.

I think the people who made this video are a little insane, I always want to ask them how they like it to be thrown into a bath with piranhas...probably just as much as the mouse. I don't like this. when it's nature, ok, but this is just like bullfighting; unnecessary killing of animals in a painful way to amuse humans. I'd say they do it with a death sentenced and a lion, then we'd stay within our own species...

I admit I found it... well, facinating, seeing what those fish can do. Honestly it is a bit gruesome to the poor mouse, but its not uncommon to feed pirhanas live mice. Most of those mice you see in pet stores are sold as snake food anyways. If not mice, you feed Pirhanas usually fish or shrimp, either live or dead. The dead fish/shrimp are usally frozen alive or allowed to suffocate anyways when they are caught. Either way, you have to feed them, and something is going to die for that to happen. Its the exact same in nature.

Anyways, it takes a while for the pirhanas to eat him, and I kept thinking back to Road Trip

Having close friends that have a business doing snake shows for the purpose of education here in Ontario, this was not all that exciting...

They have the largest collection of native indiginous Ontario snakes in...Ontario...

They have some real cool snakes, as well as a rather large collection of lizards and turtles...

that was pretty cool... but what i'd like to see is 1 pirahnna in a shallow puddle surrounded by 6 hungry rats...

i expected like a 1 on 1 showdown when i downloaded the vid... but to dump a mouse like that into a tank filled with them is hardly fun or fair... after that one fish yanked him down into the centre, they all got a piece of him and it was just a matter of time after that... good battle tho...

the clip was alrite, I was expecting a little more though. Also, the thread title made it seem as if the rat actually put up a fight.

it was a mouse... the video even said so... mice are much smaller than rats and white with pink or fleshy tails... it never stood a chance...but it did make the piranhas work...
