-- height of the tables?
height of the tables?
just wondering what you guys thoguht was good height for the tables to be at. I suppose it's relative to your actual height, but how far do you like your arms bent upward? Straight out? a little down a little up? inquiring minds want to know.
Steve
it depends how much you want to break your back and how much control you got on how it will be setup
personnaly I love when it's really high up and I barely have to bend down
shut up john.

hi up
i like my tables to be between my waist and my bellybutton
mine is about 6 inches below my waist. when i'm standing, im constantly crouched over my tables.
DAMN THAT CRAPPY TABLE I BOUGHT FROM TARGET!!!!!!
the good thing is that its only about 2 ft. from the foot of my bed, so i can usually just sit down.
mine is about weist height, u can see and control everyting perfectly and tables in clubs are about this height.
The top of the deck should be about an inch under the break of your elbow.

well im 6'1" so work it out lol i would say about 3 foot is good
I've got my stand set so that the top of the decks and mixer comed about 1" below my elbow. It's about 38" I would estimate
i use a rickity makeshift pos i made in woodshop when i was younger that wasnt designed for heavy turntables it is about at my belly button with the tables on it. I wish it was higher.
Usually the 'suggested' height is between your balls and your bellybutton

Yes, I think it's largely a personal issue! But the general ranges listed above are what you're after.
For me, navel-height works best.
Let me suggest one thing though!! -- Try to set up the height of your tables so you don't have to bend your back! IMO this is VERY important - if you're going to spend a lot of time behind the decks (practising and whatnot), the last thing you want is to ruin your back from the constant bending-over. Set it up so that you can stand up straight and still do everything as usual. From that, then, I'd say don't put it below your waist (generally speaking).
I made my own table so I could make it nice and tall. I think I ended up making it about 34" tall. The TT end up being about at kitchen counter hieght, so even though I am 6'2" I only have to bend my elbows a little.
