White Labels Kick Arse!!

dude i love white labels, i have so many good ones right now its crazy, just wanted you all to be aware of them because i am more happy with them than what i have already heard before. and its so crazy when you get a white label and later on you find that tune on a cd or a live set. like Dj Tomac "Emotins" X Dream and Sean Tyas rmx that i got for free i later headr on X dreams newest cd Trance Theory 2. the point is, never overlook the white labels. Peace

Oh yeah, white labels kick arse... I saw PvD here @ energy festival, and he put on the MK2 a white label, which was "The Bass Tarts - Summer In Space"! OMFG! That was sweet! Of course, there are the "promos" that are something similar as the "white labels". I think that every single "white label" kicks arse...

I've got some sweet CD "test presses"/promos
Like the CD promo of Chicane - Offshore. It was one of the first on Xtravaganza. The labels name at the time was spelt Extravaganza.

An artist who produces a song and wants it signed to a record label produces some vinyls with this song and sends it to major djs & record labels in hope that they will spin it and be interested in the song. The vinyls usually have a white etiquette (that's where the name white label comes from).Now...the difference between a promo and a white label...is that promo songs are already signed to a record label and they are sent to DJs in order to spin these songs and test the audience's reaction before the official release

I have to add that promos are usually given to djs only, and hand by hand perhaps! They're not for "us", the simple people, but since there is internet, everything from promos to white labels belong to us!

u mean the other way around...white labels aren't for "us". Promo's u can get easily, just sign up for some promo lists to some labels, at vinyl shops, etc

Is this the same for promo cd albums?
