it's more that the muslims think that the world is trying to tempt them into a way of life that is wrong. Nothing to do with Christians versus muslims.

Only cuz you have some extremist muslims who go and do crazy things in the name of god....that doesn't mean that all muslims should be seen in the same way.... why is it soo hard for people to understand that.... it's like people saying that because you have some gay people at the loveparade, doesn't mean everybody there is gay...

as for wht's happening in nigeria, the editors of the magazine who wrote that mohammed would have aproved of the ladies at the pagent, they should of figuered that they arn't living in a western society where such a joke is acceptable.... they're living in a place where you have extremists and very conservative people....
the reaction was definatly absurd!

until some of the poor countries of the world change somehow...such primitive acts are always possible...

Noone can deny the fact that today Fundamentalist Islamism is the biggest threat to our (the whole world's!) civilization. That's got nothing to do with the "average" muslim! But sadly the Islamic World is where those Extremists come from. Forget Bush, Iraq or Bin Laden, terrorism is just another ventil through which those extremists release their mad anger or hope to spread their "ideas". Its up to the "western world" but more importantly, to the Arab wolrd ITSELF, to stand up and fight this ugly development of increasing fundamentalism.
