Smoking ..umm..something Moby disses Eminem BACK !

This is what I found :-)

Moby disses Eminem
Moby has hit back at Eminem's constant attacks at the New York electronica star. 'I don't know why Eminem hates me when he hasn't even met me,' said Moby., who is currently in the middle of his US Area 2 tour. Eminem dissed the bald headed dance star in his recent single Without Me by singing the line: 'Moby you're too old, nobody listen to techno no more.' The rap star was also stabbing a fake effigy of Moby on his Anger Management tour of the US.

'I wonder what Eminem would say if his daughter dated an abusive man and when the police came to arrest him the man said: 'Well my father said it was OK to do it.'? said Moby referring to the violence in Eminem's lyrics.

Meanwhile Moby has also hit out at TV music stations such as MTV and VH1 who keep playing cheesy pop music! On a message on his official website Moby says: 'Those of you who work at MTV and VH-1 could start by working towards limiting the amount of airtime thats given to stuff that YOU find crappy or distasteful. Radio, too. Here's a novel idea for the people who program radio stations and video networks: Why not occassionally play something that you LIKE and that doesn't make you feel dirty? In the future we're all going to regret this period in music where our tastes were determined by 11 year old girls and wrestling fans.'

Enough M&M talk! Geezus. This fool gets more pub by being an obnoxious ahole than any respectable music artist. Crazy. As for Moby dissin M&M well thats just too easy. All Moby is saying is stuff those of us who are not totally wacked already know. Its not gonna change anyones views or opinions.

Smiley DJ

YEAH, I saw that article about 2 months ago at the djlist.com - I definitely agree about the part about our radio is based on 11 year old girls. Everywhere in Miami I hear untasteful(I can only speak for myself though) music which is embarrassingly untalented such as commercial hip hop which includes eminem. LiquidX you know this is true since you also live in Miami. Such places like southbeach are exception and WMA but in general, its messed up. And I dont like 93.1 because its comercial trance(still better than power 96 though) and they play shit out. I'm sure all of you know this but let me say, America is the land of hip hop. Hip-Hop does not thrive anywhere else in the world. One country(USA) cannot speak for the world. Vive le moby! Stand up for yourself.

I think he's just trying not to make stupid comments... which is something that Eminem makes every 5 minutes

are you always bitter? i think every post i see from you is in some way going to offend someone.

Posted by Excite on Nov-23-2002 19:43:

i actually really like that quote..its exactly how i feel about the shit being played on the radio and tv in the US.

Posted by biznology on Nov-23-2002 20:57:

i thot Moby recently apoligized to em for *something* during the Europe MTV awards...

eminem may make 'cheesy pop music' but last time i checked Moby just regurgitates cheesy pop music that gets sold for commercials.

i fail to see why this even matters, the two wouldnt know of/hate each other if they didnt have some fuel for their gigantic($$) careers|

gah....mainstream music sucks...

i had the pleasure of meeting moby during the area 1 tour because my friend's dad is regional purchasing manager for bestbuy where i lived. he is a very interesting guy and extremely down-to-earth. i am not very fond of his music but he, as a person, is very different from the stereotypical superstar. also, on a sidenote, hhas an extremenly good stage presence and is a very good performer. i very much enjoyed his random stories and all during his set at area 1. funny guy, that moby.

i think similar things could be said about Marshall Mathers too, its just a different context and performer attitude. my girlfriend saw him in the mall once, a tiny little white dude with a bunch of big black guys standing around...and someone else met him in a Blockbuster near her house and he complimented her on her j5 sweatshirt.

i think all this is just confusion over shtick and reality, but it provides us with a useful way to feel important and waste time! |

yah, thats pretty funny - they are about the same size, both scrawny white guys.

i think if youre taking their professions into account, moby might have some sort of buddhist zen edge, and the ability to hit em with a guitar.

but then again, eminem has d12 to stomp moby for him, so... |

this guy is totally crazy and violent. Only one place for him in this world : JAIL.

i think that most 'stars' (because whose to say you or i do not shine as brightly as eminem or moby?) are a lot different that they seem. i think that if i had people criticizing me all the time and the media all over the place and that sorta stuff goin on i would be a lot different. i would prolly grow an attitude... i'd like to meet m.m. just to see what he's like, of course, to him i'd just be another fan (im not, oddly enough) but if we were both people withouth a spotlight then it would be interesting.
