I've only spun one two different mixers, a beginners American Dj mixer and Pioneer DJM-600.

Of course the 600 is much much better, but further more, I've only had one thing that I could possible want changed on this mixer. That being the talkover button is changed to a switch, so that I can't accidently bump it anymore It doesn't happen often, but if I'm recording....

I've never wanted more features etc for this mixer. It truely is a great piece of hardware. I'm not saying there are not other great mixers, but my personal experience with this one has been outstanding.

i haven't had any of my threads or posts deleted before (that i know of)

One thing about it that I don't like

I think the layout is good.

I like the effects they are easy to use.

I think for the price the sound quality is lacking.

compare it to a Rane MP2016 or Urei or Stanton VRM-10 ( I Know it's a totally different mixer) but these sound punchy and warm.

The Pioneers sound a bit bright for my taste.

I also talked to a sound engineer at a big nightclub and they ask the DJ's which one they want in the booth. When the DJ requests the Pioneer they take out the Rane and have to adjust the sound on the processors and EQ's cause the Pioneer is not as warm and punchy.

If anybody really likes the vintage sound of vinyl they know that a warm analog sounding mixer makes it just right. The Pioneer does not have that sound but still it's a good mixer.
