What markers can you use safely on cdrs??

do i have to have a special marker to use for writing on cdrs? i have been using sharpies for ages and i have written on like over 200 cdrs and non of them got affected by the ink or alcohol in it. but of course to keep it safe from now on, should i use a special kind of marker. will using sharpies affect the laser on cd players or the cd player itself? whats your take on this one

hmm i dont think it matters. But a proper cd writing pen is cheap as f00k, so just to be safe get one anyway.

I've got a Staedtler Lumocolor CD-R Pen

works like a charm.

Sharpie works fine for me. Wouldn't suggest using Crayola markers or anything...haha

do you think they actually have 'CDR pens' or something, its just a normal sharpie or magic marker with a different label and more expensive...

plus most CDRs are already shit and liable to fall apart eventually and the pen is the least of your concerns...you should be more interested in getting good quality CDs!

and making labels to cover the top is prolly the best solution, because the top side of the CD is more susceptable to scratching than the bottom|
