synthesozing vocals

years ago, I had a little programm where you could just enter some text and get a man / woman speaking this text or saving it in voc format. This was a dos programm.

Anybody knows some ( free ) software to do this for windows ?

I have this program called 'TalkAny'. It does exactly the things you mentioned, except for the saving part I guess, but you can always record it or something. Want it?

i have one program for that delivered with my sound card (AWE32). don't know its name and if it is good but i can send it to you if you want. also, with fruity you get a plug-in for that (fruity speech)...

The newer versions of Fruityloops have a built-in plugin that does this.
