Hi, well.. I have a little Midi Controller called Midiman Oxygen 8, is pretty good... but is not a keyboard .... just a controller.. so.. u just will control all your programs via this Midi Controller.. I have it but I havent used it yet, since is not in my home yet, but I have heard many many good things about it.. thats why i bought it.. but u have to remember that is just a controller.. it wont sound Stand-Alone... but if u get some Soft Synths it might be very good....

well.. thats all i can say.. if u want more info about this contreoller go to: www.midiman.net

hope that helps.

EDIT: OHH .. and its just 140 USD

For around the same price you can get an Evolution MK-249C. That's what I've got. 4 Octaves, 12 controllers. I'm a keyboard player and having a two octave keyboard would drive me insane, that's why I didn't go for the Oxygen 8.

Dowlze, that looks pretty sweet.

I got a couple of questions for ya. Are the keys weighted at all. Does it get its power through the usb from your computer/batteries/external power supply/d - all of the above.

I looked on their website and they say that it has usb out but i couldn't find if it has midi out as well.

Next, how does it perform. And finally, can you get them in Aus' or did you bring it in from overseas.

Yes the keys are weighted (although I'm a pianist, so playing on a midi keyboard is nowhere near the same)

Gets it power from the USB. However, you can buy a separate power supply, should you use it for a gig.

It has both USB and midi out (I use the USB)

It performs ok, but it doesn't have the finger control of a grand piano if you know what I mean.

You can get them from www.derringers.com.au (that's where I bought mine, they have a really nice store and friendly staff too). I think they ship throughout aus.

Mine cost $379.

Hope that helps ya cheggy

I have a Roland PC-300 USB, it's ok for the price i guess, but i don't like roland mod/bend stick thing.. real mod / bend wheels would be alot better.
