Perpetuous Dreamer - The Sound Of Goodbye (Gil Shwartz Mix)

Since it was too late for me to join the remix Competition...

here is my remix for the tune, hope you'll enjoy it

Comments are more than welcome!

excellent remix, very good work.
it sounds very epic at the break, though some of that emotion and energy is lost at 3:25 when you're supposed to climax....
still this probably would have toasted the competition at the remix contest

good job... very nice remix...

the only thing i think is lacking is the build up and climax as Izzy said... it seems the song keeps building up to around 4:00 to 4:30... and then just sorta dies down... I just think it could use a more energetic climax ....

good job though... considering you probably haven't spent much time on it...

very good remix, but i'll agree with the rest, it kinda felt like it needed a higher climax, but it's still good.

Okay i've decided to take your advise and to work alittle bit more on the tune...

So?
Our own DJ Dawn is also a pro, he played at the LoveParade, but he posts his mixes in the Amateur DJ forum, like all the others. Why are you any better?

Posted by on Nov-24-2002 20:47:

ok ok

Posted by sot on Nov-24-2002 20:50:

pretty good remix gil..i dig it alot..i still think yer carrera 2 remix is the best..i dunno why but something about that remix i love..lol..keep producing good tunes..and may i ask what equiptment do you have in your studio?

Posted by Conan on Nov-24-2002 20:56:

Thanks Gil, I'll check them out...and I personally don't care where tunes are posted...amateur or not...

Posted by Eugene on Nov-24-2002 20:59:

I listened to that first one... Nice effect at the end. "Goodbye". But I was waiting for a build-up, or a climax, and it wasn't there. Plus I would have made the bassline change more often.

Posted by Icone on Nov-24-2002 22:16:

it sounds like a very deep remix... even deeper than the original. with some sort of climax missing i think it lacks a bit of interesting elements

sounds quality is fine though.
regards,
Wim

Great stuff Gil.. Has a nice mellow(sp?) sound to it.. Very good.. Although it does sortof have a non-pro sound to it (Which is ok in my book )

chillout man

I agree the bassline is pretty bad.
But, on the plus side, the beat groove (kick+snare+cymbals) sounds pro. That's usually a very hard thing to get to sound professionally.
