my friend said that Lemon 8 - New York New York is not a progressive tune......and i say it is....

can someone please tell me i am right...

I would definetly categorize it as progressive. It would even be a track that I would use to illustrate to my non-trance friends what progressive is, compared to other trance genres.

Just call it progressive. The thing is that it has obvious influences from both house and trance schools of progressive, but that can be confusing. Don't waste your times with subgenres, this is something any good dj can spin. Ask Tiesto.

Its settled

Progressive is just forward thinking music, its not really a genre in my opinion. Progressive is a type of music that lays down foundations for other future music, its kind of a direction in which things are going to go.
