Axioma - Lighthouse (Original Mix)

Hi I am 17 and have been producing for 1.5 years.
I haven't been producing for last 6 month...searching, exploring, learning,loosing.
So this is my first song after the break...

...most of my songs have progressive edge to them...

Also if you have time listen to earlier songs...such as "All that is Now", "Zeitgeist", etc...
Listen.
Enjoy.
And Please comment... (here or in small forum on my page)

still looking for feedback...

Well, sucks not to get any comments so here we go

Starting out it has that fruity sound alitte to me, try and dl lotsa new samples and get rid of that kickdrum.

However im suprised by the tune itself, its quite good, the ideas itself are great, i love the strings and the bongo's and the melody.
And how it progresses, practice your production skills and keep with producing you got the ideas .

At about, 4:00 you play a little siny/square synth, melody that reaches a bad tone which has way too much mid range, try and remove that, its too loud.

Main theme is sublime also, really good.

Anyway hugely impressed with the ideas and melodies of the tune, theyre great. Your production levels is whats lacking so just keep practicing, anyway massive melodies and stuff in this, worth a dl!

Cheers,

Thanks man for a complete feedback...the sad thing is on some level I knew about problems that you listed...especially the fruity sound In fact I have decided that this will be last fruity song (sure I will use some samples from there but i won't use fruity completly anymore) Also, as I have mentioned this is my first song after 6 month so unfortunately my productions skills have gone even lower However, if time presents an opprtunity I will be working on it. If you are interested as I mentioned before...check out "All that is now"- it doesn't have driving melody as Lighthouse or even such complexity but I belive it is much tighter production. Let me know what do you think.

Like Mac said, some great melodic ideas in this one! Sadly, the quality and mastering are a bit of a let down. But man, I really love that intro synth, it sounds alot like Airwave, which is one of my progressive trance gods out there

Don't abandon Fruity just because of the 'fruity sound', just get better sammples, softsynths and get the 3xosc over its top! Fruityloops works like complete ease as a sequencer to me

Cheers,
Wim

i'll second that comment....a lot of people talk about "that fruity sound", as far as i can see, it is only because the SAMPLES that come with fruity are crap and are used by so many people. Get your hands on some other samples, there are loads of free sites on the net, eg: look in the faq section in the forum's at Http://forum.midiaddict.com . I will DL the track and comment as soon as i can (56k )

about fruity loops...while it is quite easy to use and generate even intricate sound it is much more limited than more advanced and complex softwate...like Reason 2.0. In fact I had reason 2.0 for 2 month now and while completing Lighthouse i attempted to generate similar patterns in Reason Although it was much more difficult to do the result was usually better. This reminds me of computer languges where complexity and qaulity are also directly proportional. Of course I will still use FL(especially for lead - there i see little problem) but overall there is a good reason to learn... Reason... or other pro programs(such as Cubase).

havent really got time to dl the track now (56k + on my way out ) but i do reccomend gettin on reason and learning it... not just because its a more proffesional program and u can get better sounds from it... but because it will get u used to using the equipment... the analogue synths and samplers are a lot like the real thing, so if u do make it onto a label u can go straight onto the hardware in the studio
