Standard Noob

I know there is probably nothing I can ask here that hasnt been asked. So I'll stick my head out and get flamed for it if need be.

I dont want to ask what everyone's favorite tune is because I can find that everywhere. I guess my two questions might be...who remembers what first song or artist got them into Trance to begin with? And...what magazines or sites do people go to with news and reviews and stuff?

Ok...three questions...one that everyone can complain to me about...what's a few of the top live sets out there? I dont have any..I'd like to know where to start. Thanks.

Hello!

Hello!!! Welcome to TA! Wow....can I be any peppier? haha. Anyways...I'm actually not sure what song or DJ got me into trance. I believe I got a whole bunch at once from a friend. NOT cheese stuff, thankfully. And believe me, I'm still learning, too. For sites, trance.nu is good and I also go to ivibes.nu. Individual DJs' sites have lots of into, and so does this site. Enjoy your stay!

trance.nu is a pile of shite. for reviews, and the latest dance news check these forums, and also try www.ivibes.nu

And as for livesets, i got a few i could recommend, but it would help if we could find out what style your into first

Hell yea man no one there speaks the truth its all great mix and great song when in fact of the songs they review are pure crap. Go there if u wanna read a bunch of untrue, unsoulful bs reviews in the land of happy where no ones feelings are hurt.

Welcome, i first listened to Tiesto - Live at Energy 99, and was hooked.

Posted by DJ_Lord on Nov-27-2002 08:40:

many tunes, i dont remember. sadly, cheese stuff got me into trance, like alice deejay - better off alone and atb - dont stop. but oh well now i listen to the good stuff!
and i would recommend same as mikey, www.ivibes.nu and music u might want to hit the hub.

welcome to da club mayte

like everyone else said - these forums are the best place to get news n stuff...

also keep an eye on online record stores, especially www.juno.co.uk and www.chemicalrecords.co.uk - keep abreast of new tracks and stuff like that

Welcome!

first off i cant remember what tune got me into trance. probably some cheese stuff from dj skribble

the only place i go for news and reviews is here. TA has everything i personally need in the way of music.

now for some livesets to start you off

DJ Tiesto - @ Energy 2000 (you usually cant find a person who doesnt like this set)

Paul Oakenfold - @ Gatecrasher 19-06-1999 ( really really nice set)

Nu-NRG - @ Orgasmatron 5 May 2002( another really really nice set)

have fun!

I downloaded the Nu-NRG Orgasmatron and I think its great. Anyone know what the first track might be with the instrument? And stuff that I seem to be into? I just downloaded the Conjure One - Tears from the moon. That's the best I heard in a long time. And...Soutnern Sun (tiesto mix) and...Kosheen - Hungry, Push - Strange World, and Svenson & Gielen - Twisted, and Sasha - Bloodlock. How are those? Any other direction along those lines?

I was kinda skeptical about speaking up here but thanks everyone for the welcoming. I hope I can help some at some time in my tenure here.
