gouryella - ligaya (FC remix)

why does the ferry corsten remix have a gouryella bassline and the original mix has an armin/ferry corsten bassline?

Posted by tc-fan on Nov-29-2002 06:21:

dont know but that rmx fucking ownzzz

Posted by DJ_Lord on Nov-29-2002 06:26:

ask him.

I was wondering this myself...

Posted by Pandoneus on Nov-29-2002 07:26:

Maybe Ferry has accidentally mistaken his Ferry-bassline with his Gouryella-bassline!? Probably we'll never know...

Because people were complaining about the bassline in the original? Just a thought.

Posted by Serp on Nov-29-2002 07:42:

huh? the bassline in the original is wicked, anyone else notice that it's a beefed up version of the bassline he used in his remix of the lighthouse family - happy ?

Posted by Ian on Nov-29-2002 07:57:

Maybe he did it cos he wanted to

Sometimes it's best not to ask & wonder but just enjoy the tune, which I like all mixes of

they are both similar to me can't really tell the dif except for a few effects

Posted by 531.am on Nov-29-2002 15:51:

I remember when he did the remix for Awakening

Posted by DJ-Kuza on Nov-29-2002 15:57:

I picked this one up last night, witht he Green court rmx on the other side.

Posted by YuVaL on Nov-29-2002 16:13:

Imo the green court mix is the best of the two, really amazing, a bit of a vocal touch (which i wouldn't mind if it wasn't there) but still, i think it adds a little emotion to the tune

the vox blow hard, so lets just forget they are there.

Original was a great tune, beautiful classical rip-off action, and good upliftin synthz0rz. A Quality Tune!

Then came a bunch of crappy/mediocre mixes. (H&H, rank 1, vocal shits) Although Airbase's mix was good.

Now the new mixes are out, and Green Court's is a good listen, although not as club worthy.
Ferry Corsten's mix is not a home listen as much, but DAMN. the energy packed in that song should be abused!!! I love the Gouryella bass, which is made even more Gouryella'y. And the build's got some serious kick to it.

OK so thats that. Anyone mention those shitty ass vocals deserves beating.

Agree, vocals stink

Yeah, Ligaya should have been left vocal-less. Sometimes songs have to be left without vocals. This song is one of them.

Vocals belong nowhere near this track.

Corsten remix is definitely the best mix of this track.

I also really like the Airbase and Blue Arctic Stars remixes.

its Ferry's way of saying FUCK YOU to Tiesto...

awesome remix with depth... needs to speed it up a bit tho

Posted by davinox on Nov-30-2002 00:04:

I'm sorry, but i thought the Artic Stars mix was crap.

The background melody from the FC Remix of Ligaya reminds me of the melody of:

Sash - Adelante (Dumonde Remix / Original Mix)

Anyone else whos got the same opition ??

Whatever - I think the Ferry Corsten Remix totall ownz !!! The typical FC bassline !! YEAH !
