Funny how trance and emotions can cause so much "feel-good"...or turmoil

Wow. At times when the music hits right(thousands of people screaming...climax hitting....buildup building...trippin on drugs) trance can be the closest thing to absolute heaven and euphoria.

But at times when the music hits at the wrong times, it can be the closest thing to your heart being torn out of your chest.
Here's the laydown. I was "seeing" this girl who was taking a break from her bf. She didn't wanna commit to me, because she didn't know if she was gonna get back with him. At the same time, we were hitting it off great...we met as friends, became best friends, and now we are more than just friends.

Today I got a message from her saying that she made a decision. Unfortunatly, for me, it's not in my favor(At this time, listening to: Southern Sun(Gabriel & Dresden Unplugged remix). She decided to get back together with her boyfriend because he was having some major personal problems. That leaves me in the dust, and with nothing left. I promised that we'd be best friends though, so at least I got that outta it...
Regardless, I don't know what to feel or say.
Ironic how I came back to the resource of my 'love'(trance music) to post something like this.

Now listening to: Above and Beyond - Far From In Love...in a trance mix that I made for her cuz she wanted me to make it while we were seeing each other

dude i know exactly how you feel! trance can be listened to at the exact wrong times, i had this girl bout a month a back and we seemed to be drifting apart, and recently we broke it off....during that time i felt everytime i listened to any emotional trance, especially sets like Chicane - The Galaxy Chill Out (with that Lamb - Goreki tune ) i pictured her and i together and it was a mega downer!

i recommend trying as much as possible to keep your mind off this girl your talking about, by keeping as occupied as possble eg. go out with mates, go watch a movie, basically anything that involes you not using your mind as much! See the thing with trance is it gets you thinking deeply, and in your situation that girl would be heavily on your mind and so listening to trance won't help...it will just make you wanna be with her more!

i hope i've made sense and helped out!

Tell me about that. The ex-boyfriend of my current girlfriend tried to get her back that way. He said he wanted to kill himself and stuff. Of course my girlfriend helped him out, but nothing more than that. It seems like a lot of guys use this tactic to get the attention of girls, and it works!

And I agree with discitelli, trance can really get you down in situations like this. I also recommend doing other stuff like going out with mates, watching a movie, ....

Trance is just emotional music. Whether it brings you up or takes you down, there's no disputing it

Listening to 'Dreaming of You' was a bad idea after my last break-up

Just fuck another girl. I don't know if this advice still makes sense, but if you are having a hard time dealing with a loss of a gf, honestly, just find another girl and fuck her. Make sure this girl is prettier than your ex. It is the only way out. Do it as quick as you can.
