acutally..there is...mix is a rmx thas released with the Original Mix of a song...remix is released later on a re-release or just later...

And where did you read that piece of information?... I don't think there's any difference...

I noticed spmething else though: If another mix has been done by one of the people or the person that proudced the original it's called a 'mix'. If a remix is produced it's usually by a totally different producer to that of the original tune.

E.G -

Chicane - Autumn Tactics - Chicane's end of summer mix
Chicane - Autumn Tactics - Thrillseekers remix

Or

Tilt - Seduction of Orpheus (Tilt's Hydravox mix)
Tilt - Seduction of Orpheus (Tarrantella vs Redanka remix)

Not saying that this is the whole answer to the mix remix question but it's certainly a pattern.
Also I know a few tunes that dont show this pattern

E.G
Starparty are Ferry Corsten and Robert Smit

Starparty - I'm in Love (F.Corsten & R.Smit remix)

thas wha i used to say too...but after lookin over some records and CDs...i noticed the whole diff between mix and rmx...i guess they are jus used losely dependin on the producer too...

What DJPrototypeX said is generally correct, however it should be noted that there is no rule when it comes to labelling mixes. It just depends on the individual producer or label. I have plenty of songs titled "remix" when released alongside the original mix or "mix" when released later with other remixes. So it's kinda hard to ask for the true difference between mix and remix, just as it would be to ask about the difference between remakes, reworks, re-edits, etc. They're just labels.

I think what DJPrototypeX said is the original meaning of the 2 names but nowadays the producers or tge labels call their remixes whatever they like and the original meaning is almost forgotten. Quake calls all their remixes "Remake"'s because it rhymes with the word "Quake" but I've noticed that some labels release them out as "Quake Mix" or "Quake Remix".

for example when i look for mp3s ppl have the same song as a mix and remix of the same dj and its the same song....
DJPrototypeX let me see if i get it a mix is a remix that realise witht he original mix... and all the other mixes are remixes???

Simple. A mix is a remix with a name. For example..

Riva - Time Is The Healer (Hiver & Hammer Rock N Roll Mix)

As opposed to just..

Riva - Time Is The Healer (Hiver & Hammer Remix)

The first one has a name "Rock N Roll" so thus its a mix.
