John Debo is the World's Worst DJ

World's WORST DEEJAY goes to john debo. I have started to really hate this tosser because of his shitty crowd wrecking mixing and sets. See normally people go on by saying he sucks......but I wish to provide proof. 3 reasons

1.His trance cd

-Such a bore...went nowhere...pathetic mixing....CURE FOR INSOMNIA

2.March 26th/2002

-Lineup at koolhaus consisted of Luke Fair, John Debo, Sander K (tore the fucking place apart) and Max Graham
-Fair opens with some amazing bangin crap
-Debo walks on, starts with some crap song that ruins the flow and proceeds to play 90 mins of emotionless INSOMNIAC approved crap
-Swamper agrees with me, he was standing next to me while this was going on

3.Friday November 29th

-Lineup was Luke Fair (Amazing dj and really nice guy), john debo and John Digweed (who tore the place apart, which shall be another thread)
-Koolhaus again
-Fair starts with some nasty nasty prog tunes
-Debo goes on for 90 mins again
-Emotionless bore again....crap mixing...trainwrecked twice if I remember correctly
-After a wicked start...debo wrecks it again....luckly DIGWEED wrecked the entire place

So this is why john debo is a tosser and he is a useless tool who I feel should never be booked....book luke fair....much better.

As a postscript to nov29th event....he stood behind diggers for 4 hrs and hopefully took notes.

fool andy. Have you ever considered that this guy is a warm up DJ, if he blew the roof off (which he easily can) then im sure John digweed would be pissed. But i dont see how is mixing skills are bad. Ive heard alot of his mix sets, and they arent excellent, but they certainly arent crap. And the reason you think its boring is becasue minimal progressive stuff is his style, you cant change a guys style you muppet. Just feel it or suck it, and stop whining.

whats the difference between minimal progressive and progressive.. if you like progressive i dont see why you would bash minimal haha i mean its like moving down from trance to progressive.. i guess minimal is the next step.. soon we'll all be listening to a generic congo drum beat

his sructure sucks: last night he played silverbath follwed by revolution follwed by his own "communication"

he didnt beatmatch 2 tracks in a row properly, and mixed for about 2 seconds, it was so awful.

I agree with Psi there. Debo opened for Sasha here a couple months back and did pretty well.

I went that night for john digweed..luke fair was up first.....wanted to see him...very nice dude btw.....met him twice that night. Then again, it's my opinion

anywho, debo is by far, not one of the worst dj's out there. i'm guessing progressive isnt your thing, because he does throw down some pretty dope sets.

i never seen debo ...his productions are great with porter ..but then again this is common fact that majority of producers that are great in writting track usually are terriable behind the tables..i dont know why but its usually that way they program a track right but programing a set is a different story....and vise versa...great great technical djs usually suck in production ...there are very few exeption of dj/producers that are just great at both... and a lot that suck at both lol!!!...debo sucked technicaly wouldnt doubt it ton of prog djs suck behind the decks nick warren,james zabelia,deep dish,etc they might have good musical taste but programming a set they lack hard core .... technicaly they suck... so just because djs spin prog many dont know how to spin it correctly ...just my opinion folks and i think its pretty valid dont you think hahaha

but that set ( john debo ) ( 60 minute of it ) was broadcasted on the Kiss 100 Diggers show and I personnaly love it ..... and I am not a huge fan of prog either so I'm thinking ... hummmm

so does anyone have a tracklist?
( if no one does, I have one track to get id'd at all cost )

I saw john debo mix in boston before pvd and I really enjoyed it

At the ultraworld he came on right after DJ Icey and sat the whole place down on its ass.... imagine about 10,000 people sitting down and yawning while you're spinning... Good thing Scott Henry came on and woke people up before PvD came on...

And by the way - I have NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE met a DJ that was more boring than DICKWEED. I saw him at Area2 and few times in in Twilo. IMHO, I thought that he was a complete bore and his interaction with a crowd was at 0 - on all 3 occasions that I saw him.

the only good thing about DIGSLEEP was Bedrock - Heaven Sent

i seen digweed tear shit up before ....he doesnt need to interact right prog crowd digweed tears it up with out having to jump around and stand on turntables and show off like hmmm how should i say some other djs we all know lol!!
