ok...i know alot of u peeps in ere' didnt gotot he sydney gig...etc etc..

but.
anywayz.
i made the trek to canberra for the man
and let me tell u. he blew me away as per usual.

totally seamless, always fresh..
he played a mix of tech breakz, blended with the best prog, deep, teky, trancy .. shitez! no words can explain...u just have to experience him for urself

the moment for me was...

wen he played "Enjoy the Gravy" ...

a mash up of the superb Mike Koglin - "The Silence" with Sasha's very own wavy gravy..

OMG

the track started off with the all to familiar wavey gravy melody.. then it HIT us...the "enjopy the silence.....enjoy the silence...." !#@!$$#^$*%^* ... blended with WG....omg..

just total nutterz!...
eveyrone in the place lost it.
i had goosebumps all over..

f*ckin amazin!..

if that wasnt enuff.

he follwed that wth "CowPander"

another mash up bootleg of UnderWorlds - "Cowgirl" with his very own Xpander!

other tunes, Cass's Twisted "MindRewind" ... Beauty Never Fades.... and some others, he has been doin his record shopping!!!!!

i NEVER get dissapointed with Canberra..
of the many times ive been there, its always amazing.

the ppl are so friendly!... the vibe is superb!!

well, what can i say, i didn't make it to canberra, but sydney was f@#king unbelievable! The second track he played, mixed perfectly for about 8 minutes.......OMG, the mans a genius........superb mixing, superb tracks, and finished with expander.......one of the best nights i've ever had, and now i'm off to byron bay to do it all again........ so if your in melbourne i'd also strongly advise you to go down and see him, even if you're not a huge fan, get down and see why he's considered the worlds best........ you'll be impressed.......guaranteed......

can't believe you were in canberra and i didn't see you there!

we too made the trek down to canberra - and i thought it was incredible! had the best time in quite a while

though - he did fuck up twice which i thought was surprising...they were big fuckups in my mind as well!

and...what is with internationals not playing encores? I am sick to death of it. I mean come on...you go to a rock concert or chamber concert or such and the crowd demands an encore then you get one...but when you pay your $60+ to see an international how often to they just brush the one more track screams...pisses me off - i mean all you gotta do is put a record on the platter and hit play...easy! And for anyone who says - "well he'd just played sydney and had to fly down and play again...he was probably tired and pissed off" - I say he is getting paid and it is his job to do that!

well...that is my bitch! other than that it was a sensational night and i wish i knew he was playing the after party for $5 in canberra...damn!

cool! we get to see him next sunday unfortounatly hes on at the same time as derrick may (like all th other internationals) so i doubt il get to see much cause derrick may is where its at... he starts 20 mins earlier so il hang around there for 20 mins and maybe come back briefly if it was REALLY good just to check it out again but its gonna be pretty hard to pull me away from derrick!

Yeah, $5 at Globe......didn't go but apparently Sasha was absolutely wasted...he caught a taxi at about 10.30am and upon walking into the sunlight started screaming 'I'm meeeeeltiiiiiiiinnnngggggggg!!'

its a uni building/bar...very intimate i gues...
ive been there a few times for nick warren, sasha and a few others.

prob with canberra is the majority of places play one of 3 types of music. Teenie Bopper Shit, Breaks or Hardtrance. The scene needs some more variety imo.

Oh well hopefully I'll be spinning somewhere next year, shake things up a bit
