all those games look great.

well i didnt think that splinter cell was coming out on ps2...but,

dead to rights was supposedly only so so also.

the best 2 ps2 games ive played recently were NFS:HP2 - so fast and so much fun, and THPS4 - amazingly better than all the ones before. sadly i wont be getting them, since i have no use for them, i wont be able to play them next semester|

Here are some quotes that convinced me to buy Dead to Rights.

Quotes are from http://ps2.ign.com/articles/091/091714p1.html

"The first in-game sequences that Namco premiered highlighted a targeting system that enables strafing and shooting in a 3D environment, the ability to target specific parts of the body while moving, and disarming capabilities."

"Perhaps the coolest aspect about this early game was the disarming scenes, in which the lead character Jack Slate grapples an enemy, steals his shotgun, and then dusts him. Namco's team plans to animate the enemies' deaths realistically, with characters shoulders swaying back and forth, their heads popping back with force, and limp bodies crumbling to the ground. Enemies contain about 10 different impact points along their body for a variety of animations. Slate also can shoot while diving in four different directions, backward, forward, left and right -- and will certainly dive off high ledges, balconies, and crates, for cinematic effect."

Theres more on that site, but I think these 2 quotes pretty much explain the game.

Get Ghost Recon for PC instead it will be much better (It's been out for over a year now).

I bought Dead to Rights last night. It's a pretty cool game.
Splinter cell won't be coming out till about March 03. I'll check out Ghosr Recon on PC.

Thanks,
Emil

Any idea when it is coming out? that game looks amazing. Just like metal gear solid 2 for the ps2. I was told that the creator of mg2 gave praised for Spliter Cell.

Not too far away...I'll wait for that to come out. Damn, it seems like almost every good XBox game releases on another platform making it pointless for me to buy an XBox Only thing that XBox has that no other platform does is Halo (which is set for release on PC soon and will own the XBox version).

hmm...how can people play fps games on consoles!??!?

gah, i can't imagine getting any frags without a mouse!

Splinter Cell looks unreal! I think I'm gonna wait for it to come out on PC though. I find that first person shooters are easier to play on your PC than on a console.

As for Ghost Recon, I suggest getting it on the PC. As I stated above, it's easier to control on the PC than on the PS2--especially aiming. Not only that, you can get the expansion packs to go with. The PS2 won't have expansion packs.

I broke down and bought Ghost Recon for ps2 2 days ago!
It's a great game, in fact, I must go play now!

nice games, but not my genre i like games like tony hawk 4 and gran turismo 3

Posted by Emil on Dec-16-2002 17:43:

Gran Tourismo 3 had me so mad, I have stopped playing for 3 months. I am stuck on one of the license tests. It's the next to the last one I think on the A license. It's where your driving the skyline, and the circles get smaller and smaller and smaller. For the life of me, I can not complete that test. I have played it around 100 times now. I tried everything, manual tranny, auto tranny, nothing works!

hmm
dunno what to say, you just gotta be smooothh....

i think i gave up on the license tests, but that was for the super, some of those are bitches. just remember the old racing adage - you have to drive slow to drive fast. stop pushing the car to go faster, and just focus on making smooth circles and transitions|

Tom Clancy games are the shizit! Though, i like to play them more on PC than console. Just personal preference. Much easier to aim with mouse than a directional pad.

I gotta buy some more Tom Clancy games, I haven't bought one in a long time, like last one i got was Rogue Spear. Such a good game, i really want more of them hehe.

Splinter Cell is so amazing! I've been pullling overnighters over this the last couple of days, so addictive

I also got Vice City for Christmas which is wicked too... I won't be bored for while I guess
