Question technics stylus light problem

I came home the other day, to find my stylus light broken, it wont click when i press it down it just stays up the whole time, I can also spin it around in circles, its not stationary anymore. Does anyone know of any specific parts I would need to fix this? I took a look at the scematic on 1200s.com but did me no good. Anyone have any suggestions?

seems to me it would make sense that the circled part is what has either become unscrewed or broken? i donno this is the as much as i can do for you without having you open it yourself. i think you can figure out how it works from the images, good luck. if you dont wnat to void the warrantee then take it to an authorized repair person.

[edit].... on second thought... perhaps the top part where the bulb is housed came apart... if nothing is rattling inside when you shake it, then everything must be intact.. you just need to get it connected again.

I have another problem . The light works and everything.. but when I touch the platter it, the light acts like a stobe light, and gets dimmer then lighter.. ect..ect. but when I let go, it stops. any ideas?

where are you touching it... probably just a connection.. or the bulb connection.... its hard to tell. the best i can tell you is just follow all teh wires, figure out how it works, and make sure everything i secure. make sure the resistor and all the wires are in and everything too.

since it was loose im sure it has something to do with whatevers going on wiht the wire that goes into the bar thing [last picture]. see if thats secure.. im sure thats where the root of the problem is since you were able to turn it and stuff.
