I usually find for trance MOS is only good for about 1 or 2 albums a year, any more and you wind up with the same 30-40 tracks in a different order. As for their general annuals I generally don't touch em unless I listen to em first ;-)

Posted by AussieTrance on Dec-03-2002 21:27:

Its all about money these days; which is unfortunate. For some utter stupidity, DJ Sammy sells records

Posted by StalkerElmo on Dec-03-2002 21:33:

notice how MOS's new cd's are so fucking commericial..

stupid cheap bithces need to make some money from the CHEESE!

pathetic..

Posted by joeh on Dec-06-2002 17:10:

I bought it, as i do every year - but i think its gonna be the last Ministry CD i buy. Cheese all the way through, no more than 6 decent tracks. Most of CD 2 isnt even mixed.

What happened to the days of Jules and Tall Pall mixing the annuals?

'Ministry of Sound Annual 2003 mixed by DJ SAMMY'

ermmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

"Another Fine Release"

"Ian Van Dahl, Mary J Blige, DJ Sammy"

WTF????, fine release???

cheese alert...

Posted by DJFIREWATER on Dec-08-2002 12:10:

i agree. I used to buy a lot of these and similar compilation albums (Cream etc etc) because i liked the tracklistings and i might possibly pick up some quality tunes i had not heard before.

The standards of these seem to have dropped drastically with Lasgo, Milk Inc, DJ Sammy and the rest of them ruining what used to be decent albums. They now contain more cheese than my local supermarket!

Seems that Ministry and Cream albums are all about making money now and not about quality music. Shame cos i used to dig them

I heard that the DVD features footage from the loveparade 2002 and that Millenium Dome Party

Posted by arctic on Dec-08-2002 23:26:

lol

OMFG, i just noticed that (i presume) a remix of LAS KETCHUP (or however you spell it) is on the cd....what is the world coming to?

Posted by G K Murray on Dec-09-2002 03:03:

I would honestly rather shit my pants and fall back in it every day for the rest of my life than buy that horrible stinking wedge of cheese they call a trance compilation cd!!!

The remix is actually worse than the original!

Next time they'll probably put the cheeky girls on! (only british people will have any idea who they are - and only some of those at that). SAMPLE: http://www.btinternet.com/~joe.hean...ckoftheweek.mp3

That was by 'The Cheeky Girls' who appeared on a tv program here called 'PopStars: The Rivals' which is attempting to create two rival pop bands (girlsvsboys).

Two twins, both about 20, both eastern european i believe, and their mother wrote all their songs. They turned up to audition a few times and would basically sing songs like that in attempt to get on the program. So dire were they that they got rejected by the judges (2 record producers & ginger spice ), but got signed to Multiply anyway, and the single was released last monday - currently number 2 in the UK singles chart.

So poor are charts that Las Ketchup are still in the top ten after 9 weeks, and at number 11 DJ Sammy (Which was number one).

Meanwhile..... BK - 'Revolution' enters uncharted at number 42.

Posted by arctic on Dec-11-2002 23:14:

bah, charts suck

no doubt this CD will do well due to the cheese factor. Count yourself lucky...at least the UK gets some cheese. In aus, trance on the charts is almost unheard of

Send me a S.A.E and you can have the one i bought in error!

Is DJ sammy real - or is it infact, just an alias of pete waterman?
BTW i don't think he, whoever he may be actually mixed this - the sleeve doesnt say who mixed it - just 'with thanks to..' Steve Canueto - who was previously credited with mixing other albums. Whoever did it the mixing is shoddy, most of cd2 isnt even mixed. Clearly done on a computer!

Posted by Philby on Dec-14-2002 05:06:

hehe i remember someone posting the link for it in chat, i couldnt believe it!!
im gonna have to make sure i put a note somewhere saying "DO NOT GET ME ANY MINISTRY OF SOUND CDS FOR XMAS!!!"
