a few questions

ok I just finished looking through the threads about Ultra and The Winter Music Conference and I still have a few questions.
The winter music conference is 4 days and Ultra is one night correct?
How much is Ultra because I do not have enough money for WMC? How much spending money will I need (I am coming from New Orleans) What is the exact day of Ultra? When will they have a line up? ect....

line-up. dunno. i think last year it was annoucned maybe a month before. can someone correct me if i'm wrong
wmc is all week. its basically just a whole bunch of shit going on at the same time. soooooooooo many events during wmc, cuz EVERYONE and their mothers are here. GOOD djs spinning at clubs EVERY night that week.
ultra is a day festival. last year it was from noon-midnight. but the flyer for ultra 5 says 11am-1am. so 14 hours but last year we didn't get in till 1pm, so we probably won't get in till noon this year
ultra cost $40 pre ticket, and i think $50 or something at the festival.
water was $5 a bottle last year, so bring money!!!!

btw, if you're coming from new orleans, could you pick me in tallahassee on your way down????? if you're driving. i'd chip in for gas of course and it'll help your money situation for wmc

Well, the correct price for pre-sale tickets , actually, it was for the first 1000 tickets ( for ULTRA 4 this is )sold or soemthing like that, like 45 dollars , with tax some 50 bucks ( they do this crap, dont know why ) . Pre sales are like 55 or 65 something like that. And at the entrance its like 70 .. or 65 ? .. dont remember that much but its something around that. The cheapest is 45 ( 50 + Tax ) .. but thats what it would cost you if you buy them right from the start.

I dont know how much it would be for Ultra 5 since they been changing prices ever since the beginning, Ultra 2 was like 45 bucks, Ultra 3 Was 50, Ultra 4 like 65(50 with that special promotion) , Ultra 5 ? ... So I dont know, hopefully it will stay at 50 .

no. i got my ticket last year for 40, plus the $5 grooveman charge and it was $45, no tax. i got 3 tickets for my friends and myself. tickets 94, 95 and 96

Ultra is the kick off party to start the whole WMC its on the saturday leading up to the week, the conf goes through friday but is absolutly dead after wednesday, for some reason thats like the unofficial ending, the list of dj's is like Pat said is roughly a month or so before hand but always subject to change and always does change, but dont fret, there will be so many big name dj's that one cant possibly see everybody they want to, its everything people make it out to be, if you're going to smuggle anything in, smuggle water, that was more scarce than any drug or any food item last year, a friend was sent to buy water for a bunch of people and he came back an hour later, its that bad

how the hell did he sneak water in? its not like a little pill or a joint that you can hide! its a huge water bottle! lol

he didnt sneek water in, he went to buy it and the line is so damn long which is why its so scarce, i was saying to bring it in b/c i dunno about you but i dont want to spend valuable (hour or so) time standing in line waiting to pay $5 for a bottle of water, i did see the security find several joints b/c they make you empty your pockets and did a pat down, but the other stuff is obviously easier to hide and more descrete to consume , i havent really though of how to smuggle the water in or if its even possible it was just the idea that its that annoying to get
