Question about Paxil and Shit
Well as some of you may know, I've got social anxiety disorder, and after attempted suicide, I suffer from sever deprssion for the past 2 - 3 years or so. But my question is all Paxil the same? Or are there different types for different types of anxiety disorders?
lol

no idea mate i never actually took anything for my depression.
mdma worked though, as much as i sound like a junkie, it worked damn well...
infact it got rid of it.
.....that explains a lot then...........
I actually thought it was gonna be a question about some silly named progressive artist
dont take anything, just smile and be happy and thank god you live in the 21st century when you dont have to fight for food, and you are clean and pampered and entertained.
Here's a serious answer.
Paxil has proven through medical study's to be extreamly effective w/ teen adolescence, depression, anxiaty, ect. Yet I've said this before there are some serious side effects with this drug. Drousyness, sexual side effects, ect. Depends on the user yet in most cases there are side effects.
Paxil takes about a month or so (sometimes two weeks) to actually take affect on you, could even be more depending again on the user. So if it isnt working after a couple of days dont give up, it'll eventually kick in. Its very effective once it starts to work. You may need to take two pills one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Im not too sure on this but I think 2 pills w/ paxil equal 300 MG (150 single). You'll have to ask you doctor to make sure. Only thing is that Paxil actually makes you gain weight. There's an alternative if that doesnt work.
Another drug called "Wellbutrin". This is 150 MG, works really well also with depression, anxiaty, ect. Its also used for helping people to quit smoking & helps you loose weight at the same time (clinically prooven). Here also you may have to take two everyday like I stated above w/ paxil. Not too much side effects here at all. There could be but will eventually fade off. Same though, take a little while to start to work.
I would also suggest that you go to see a psychologist. Not any ordinary psychologist. Get a school counciler or something of that nature to aid you in finding the best one possible. The psychologist should then review your case and tell you which medication he thinks will work most effective while at the same time helping you with your probelms that your having.
There are other things besides depression that could be wrong with you, you may be Bipolar which is very common in most cases, and never know it. Lets say your Bipolar, depression / anxiaty medication will not work. There are specific medications for that. When you talk with a counciler he should be able to pinpoint what specifically is wrong with you. He will then let you know what he thinks is best for you, your task is to be very open with her / him (your option on the sex) so they can know for sure. If you go see a counciler that you dont feel is helping you go see another, there are many out there that can help you.
Depression / Anxiaty is very common now a days so dont feel bad / ashamed about it. Every Nine out of Ten people are on some kind of depression medication. Its a chemical imbalance in your brain that can be fixed. Overall you should see a complete turn around with the medication with time. Medication is the answer.
Hope I could help.

I have a bit of anxiety myself! I also have ADD (attention deficit disorder)...meaning i can't sit at my desk and do my homework for more than 15 mins....meaning, i get distracted VERY easily!
If i had known that as a kid.... i would have had a 4.0 A+ in high school.
Atleast this is what i believe i have....i've visited a psyciatrist(sp?) and she agrees with me...but she recommended visiting a psycologist....so...i hope i get better soon! esp. since i started college now...
