Natural Selection chamber stacking! (WARNING: large pics)

Your average stack on bast:

Had to get creative for this one; it was done by putting chambers on the back of an onos with invunerability so that they wouldnt die on contact with the ground below (ground = death):

And finally, a few more regular stacks:

lol..nice

did they take away stacking tho in 1.03 because it was an exploit?

Posted by nrjizer on Dec-07-2002 21:17:

Its not an exploit. You can only build them so high though because the game only allows so many of one type of chamber in an area

How the hell did they get that high????

it looks like they built a structure, then climbed onto it and built another on top of it creating a kind of stairway.

correct

It is an exploit, because i'm sure the game developers didn't mean for that to be the use of the towers. But it is a pointless one, because as the towers get too high, the offense towers will miss, the defense towers will be out of range, and movement chambers will take long time to reach in case your in need of escape.

So really, this is just for kicks, and not strategy =P.

there is a sense of strategy to it. stacking can play an integral role in sealing up doorways or making an elevator totally useless to the point where it rivals that of welding. i dun recall the NS team saying that this was an exploit or anything. we'll see tho.

of course, stacking to the point where it makes a staircase is a bit riduculous i'll have to agree. but like srezic said, that's just when you have nothing better to do in the game or have the resources to spare. which doesn't happen very often.
