Smile Man Utd 2 - Arsenal 0

3 days ago i predicted the following

quote:
It shall be Manchester United 2 - Arsenal 0

ENDS UP BEING MANCHESTER UNITED 2 - ARSENAL 0

btw arsenal, we are coming to take back what rightfully belongs at old trafford.....the english premiership championship!

Very impressive play from Sylvestre, Henry did not touch the ball. That was the key of this game.

Posted by torontotrance on Dec-07-2002 21:15:

see the sleeping giant (aka man utd) awoke and got angry....we still beat arsenal without our best players.....hehehehe....

the pretender time is up for liverpool, arsenal, step aside and give us what belongs to us.....the english premiership title.

Good operation for MU but Arsenal will win the championship at the end...

Henry is the legend!

Posted by laz on Dec-07-2002 23:42:

this was one fantastic performance... first newcastle then liverpool and now arsenal!
even though it doesnt weight up for the loss in may, its still great to finally beat them again.
im still afraid that the championship will go to arsenal if we dont buy us a world class striker and another right back.

I'm a bit late of replying to this, but a totally agree, a true class performance from United as much as i hate to say. With6 world class players not even playing bo beat arsenal is a grate achievemant.

Anyway TTA! Boxing day! BORO Vs Man U.........

I think you already have a world class striker with Ruud Van Nistelroy. Looks like Man United may take the championship provided they can clear up the injury list.

I think Arsenal may do well in Champions League tho, probly better than United will.

True Firewater, Ruud is world class. The good thing about Man U is they have players all over the pitch who can score goals. Forlan is also coming good after some time, and you can't fault his recent record of goal scoring. The only thing they're missing for me is a big bastard at the back, although Ferdinand is a class act.......

You ALL seemed to have over-looked Chelsea!! 2nd in the league (above Man Utd i must stress!!) and also only 2 point behind the leaders; Arsenal, with equal games!! C'MON YOU BLUES!

Posted by hooj on Dec-09-2002 20:53:

Chelsea are looking very good this season. So far they haven't slipped up against the lesser teams. Could be a 4 way battle come May.

Posted by G K Murray on Dec-09-2002 21:32:

The trouble with Chelsea is they're never consistant enough, that's why their fans get so frustrated with the team. This is the reason why i can't see them winning the league. To be fair, apart from the like of Man U & Arsenal, other teams just can't string together 6 or 7 wins and go on a league winning run like they can.

Certainly!! Believe me, that will be hard game for you at the Riverside! I'll be there gunning down your lot

Posted by kentylad on Dec-10-2002 12:32:

I think it's a different Chelsea this year, with the same players (!) Quite a contradiction I know, ut certainly true. We have to have made the least changes in our squad in the whole premiership, and it's certainly showing. The whole team is working; as a unit, and thats the recipe for consistency. Watch this space ........

Did anyone else see Ruud control the ball with his arm before setting up the first goal? Obviously the ref didn't.

I'm not making excuses, Henry should've had us up 1-0 on that early chance. I'm still confident though.

Posted by arj1o1 on Dec-11-2002 19:00:

hope it will be a 2-0 loose @ 18 feb 2003 too for Arsenal when they play against AJAX

Rasta Happy

I could not stand man u bcoz of the fans
I could not stand arsenal bcoz of the fans, players and THAT manager.
They boast like no body bizness.
1) I will win UEFA CHAMPS LEAGUE
2) I will go unbeaten whole season
3) I got the best players

Posted by zarathustra on Dec-16-2002 04:28:

Wenger never said that they would go unbeaten all year, he said that he believed that they could. That's not a prediction nor is it a boast. What's wrong with a manager having confidence in his team?

What are they supposed to say when someone asks them if they are going to win the championship?

Posted by dreamdecks on Dec-20-2002 23:29:

Man U are again the team that they were a few years ago, they will still have a hard job at Newcastle Though, They nearly always do!
