Clubs, bars and even make shift tents out in the jungle/bush sometimes.

all i need is good music and good people and i turn into a rav ing lunatic

Posted by DJ_Ballistic on Dec-09-2002 04:01:

whenever there's musik im partying

seriously, whenever i listen to musik there's just this involuntary picture in my mind of a massive stadium packed with people and im up front jumpin up & down dancin like a crazy idiot......

in real life, ny place that isn't playing rap/hip-hop/r&b, or that funky disco musik shit that u hear so often in clubs nowdays, well that i ear so often, having stupid crappy weiner friends who like that stupid weiner crap.......

Hello!

Melbourne Park is the best place for a rave
TWO TRIBES there was amazing....Slinky was also impressive there...cant go past its massive facilities and capacities

Posted by jizza on Dec-10-2002 02:02:

I'll see your Melbourne Park, and i'll raise you Kryal Castle.

I implore, urge and beg for every music lover to experience the magical surrounds of this landmark.

But there is one condition: it has to be during summer otherwise you ain't gonna be dancing as much when you're dying from hypothermia.

But generally, for me, just give me:

good friends
good music
and 2x2 metre dance space to do my shit!

Posted by matt_a on Dec-10-2002 02:09:

Anywhere with alot of good dancing music and alot of friends!

What do you reckon the best time you've had dancing would be? Where was it, who was playing etc?

Mine would be my yr 10 formal on Fri Night. Best Night ever!

you?

King ALTITUDE!

I would have to say my No.1 place to party is Altitude at the Dendy Bar in Martin Place. It's on once a month, and is dedicated to Uplifting Euro trance. Your bound to hear dozens of classic played each night

Apart from that, Sublime is always good for the harder trance, although the new silver room plays some uplifting stuff now too. Progress at Gas comes in 3rd for me.

Cheers

Ive pretty much had enough of the regular sydney haunts, ie gas, home and plastic. I'd rather go to something like earthcore, more towards the psi trance end of things.(Astral projection next year should be huge!)Although Melbourne has some fantastic small hard to find bars that have opened lately.

As always the crowd can pretty much make or break a night. Sometimes it feels like your event can have the biggest bunch of arseholes ever which pretty much ruins any great music going on.

The old goods warehouse (or whatever it was called) down on the docks.

Looked like a church on the outside, then you walk through into this massive room with these roller doors on one side that can be opened up let some air in when it gets too hot in there. Also, the sound was awesome.....

Shame that those miserable dickheads who bought flats out there didn't feel the same way.

Godskitchen was also good at Melbourne park......

But Kryal's Castle, that's on a different level.... some hot weather would be nice though.

For me it's

1. Good music
2. Good friends
3. And mabie a set of good pills if the music goes on for a loooong time.

Docklands fvcking rocked it BIG time, sadly, no more.

Goods Shed; What a summer that was, rumours abound of it reopening, in a slightly renovated, limited event setting.

QBH; Not that good at all. Who designed that place, really? Its a joke, the design fvcks around with the sound and if you don't know where you are, you won't be going anywhere for awhile.

Melbourne Park: Only really suitable for the big kickass parties that are few and far between. If its packed with the right crowd, it goes off, but tends to attract a far more 'commercial' crowd, wooed by the flashy advertising and the cool factor rather than the music and the dj's.

Kryal: Havn't been, don't know, can't comment.

Of course there are a shitload of clubs out there that cater to events of various shapes and sizes, and i've been to a fair few. A fantastic party can come rocking along with 5000 ppl @ GK, or with 300 or so at some club down a lane in the city, it all depends really.

My favourite place in perth would have to be old berlin. It has 100x times the atmosphere of the globe and metros city put together. But then again, it depends on whos playing and the amount of people. I dont think there could be much that tops tiesto playing at metros with 6000 people packed in.

That was fuckin sweet.

Posted by innominate on Dec-11-2002 19:19:

ha hah.

yes i ve been to some of those bars (really hard to find in melbourne) lucky i had some friends to guide me there though when we went i really thought they were going to mug me (as we went pst the rubbish bins further and furhter into the dark alleys...)

oh to have some dirt between ur toes for STOMPING

yes the tunes and yes the ppl who dance wiht you for a good place to be. ahhh tunes keep banging through my head

btw, i remmeber you philby but i dont think we have ever had a proper chat... till no mebbe?! see you guys
