hey guys, does anyone else ever get told they are stuck up. I keep getting told that, and i hate it. I dont consider myself that way. This usually comes from people i just met or shit like that. Friends that i have known for a while say i am okay and funny. I make fun of myself to get a laugh out of people i dont really care. This sucks because when i am meetin new people (girls) I dont want to come out looking like that.

Hehe,some people give out the wrong picture of themself the first time when met but then when you get to know them they are totally the opposite. Haven't really experienced it myself though.

I dont have that problem, I have the unfortunate problem of acting like a total retard when I meet new people. My friends boyfriend thinks Im gay because I did an impression of a male cheerleader, and I didnt know he was watching... now he avoids me like the plauge.

thats the solution right there. alt i dunno if i want to be labeled gay or something.

i tend to act shy or 'reserved' - thats the word i like - around people i dont know. it doesnt help, because people think you are trying to act 'better than them' if you are quiet. i try to think differently around people i meet who are quiet, but basically people just assume. part of life i guess, keep hanging out with them and stop worrying what they think of you. its inversely proportional somehow|

i am an extrovert on the outside but a true introvert on the inside if that makes any sense. i like to make people feel comfortable around me and be able to open up and act themselves so i can form an opinion about them, not what they are acting like...

i think the reason why people act shy around new people is one of two reasons. they are either arrogant and DO actually think they are better than the people they are with, or they are insecure and are scared to open up because of fear of judgement. i am sometimes guilty of both, depending on the people i'm around.

if people judge u based on appearance, screw them....thats when u know how shallow someone is
