Drug use and its effects

Can anyone recommend any good books or websites for information on drug use and its effects on the body and mind.

and yes, I HAVE heard of google but I was hoping to get some of your own recommendations for which sites are particulalrly good.

www.erowid.org i think is the right link, sum1 correct me if im wrong, its the be all and end all of drugs info, including peoples experiences, the law, the effects, side effects, dosages, etc etc

thats actually a pretty smart hitting the nail ond the head statement. There will always be the "you" and the "you in the/in relation to evironment". you+environment + drug (well in my cases alcohol and weed) = you - environment

thats so true... i was just like that the other night (way too stoned) and really i had nothing to do with my environment. i was completely conent in my bad thinking for 2 hours and then going to sleep.

if you are needing information on club drugs, mdma, ghb, etc.. another great resource is http://www.dancesafe.org

dancesafe is a non profit, harm reduction organization... they are often to be seen at parties across the united states, handing out free information, pill testing, etc.

hahahhahah i just have to post this part of a story by a kid who had a bad trip on acid...from dumonde's website he posted...

We got in a van with a bunch of people and the remainder of the pot was passed around and smoked, I remmeber seeing road signs and not knowing what they really meant, but somewhere in the back of my head I knew I had to be back in front of my school at 4:30, and I got obsessed with this, and I kept asking 'what time is it? What time is it?' and finally they got pissed and set all the clocks in the van to like 7PM, and I freaked out, but then we got back to the school, and a few minutes later my mother pulls up, and I manage to say 'can we give (my friend) a ride home?' and she says, 'no, you're going to be late', so I think he was pissed, he walked away, I got in the car and it was all weird and broken, I don't really remember it all that clearly, and she thought I was stoned and was mildly irritated and said, 'were you guys smoking pot?' and it seemed TOTALLY logical to say 'no, I'm on acid', and she got really pissed.

seriously... dont do acid

my experience with acid was quite evil...i could not understand the english language the entire night...it was horrible everyone was speaking jibberish...
