Is it better to .....

Is it better to run your tables through an amp or a receiver to your speakers or does it not make a difference??

u have 2 connect ur tables 2 ur mixer.. with the use of tulip-plugs, and a ground wire (otherwise u`d have a *zzz* sound on ur soundsytsem) and ur mixer then will be connected 2 an amp/receiver.. and the speakers are connected 2 the amp/receiver.

well sometimes it's good to have a eq on your amp so you could get a 31 band eq

but really it's not all that essential

but does it matter if it's solely an amp OR a receiver??

no, m8. it doesn't matter...... cause a receiver already has an amplifier built in it.......

I think the only difference is the volume, and durability. most amps (stand alone) have built in fans in them and they can work even 10 hours straight on high volume.
but receivers can overheat and.... bye bye receiver....

besides, amps can't reach high volume levels without peaking cause they are built for home stereos......

I, personaly would prefer sticking with my 2x350W amp... attached to my 500w speakers god they rock!!!
