-- we need a top 10 or top 50 list on this site...READ

i think it would be interesting to have swamper or someone let the users vote on the top 10 or top 50 trance tunes of all time and post it on the site. this could give newbies a chance to see some of the great tunes and some of the regular users a chance to see how their tastes stack up to the other users.thoughts anyone?

Or a Top _ _ tunes of the week/month chart.

yeah just something where the TA's can see all of whats new and all the newbies can see what the big tunes are.

technodron has this system where you can vote for which livesets the majority of the visitors would like be put up. i think it would be effective for TA to have something similar, heck it can even be in the music related polls. that would work really well me thinks.

at least we know number one without needing to vote:

i think this would major suck!!

coz what would u do if u have either Jules or Tiesto to vote for?? know what i mean?

maybe it would be better as there is never serverspace to change the sets more often!?

i think three week for a set is enough for everyone to download if he wants it!

but i dont know how it is with an modem!!

otherthan that i thin a chartlist for singles would be cool!!

this is true...but swampz usually uploads 2-3 livesets at once so maybe if he takes the top 3 that are voted? that way in a situation like you described both jules and tiesto's set would be included.

I've always thought a top tunes list was a great idea just never got round to suggesting it.....trouble is everyones idea of top 10 is very different... could run a mock poll for say top 9 and other.. see how the thread goes, then do a second poll with most popular tracks picked in the poll and the most popular tracks mentioned in the thread, i think that would come up with the most accurate result. just a thought anyhow

p.s maybe the longest serving member and the highest poster mentionin no names hehe could start the poll and come up with there idea of the best of the best!

We could do something like having Simcut do the harder trance and infinity do the trance. Break it down to genre's and who's got the most knowledge of each.

i know what u mean but why dont make up a charts list for singles and sets just to see how they are rated by the TA�s!!

and not to judge upon the next available download coz i think it would start quite similar like the shirts story and it would end up in more work for swampz and more useless discussions!?

i kinda put this idea to him a lil while ago, where ppl can download the actual tracks which are in the top 10 or 15.. but that idea never really took off?

Real cool idea.But the top 20 all times greatest is of no use...all of us are sure to have all those songs....

The list should be helpful in everyone find good music.

So I think top 10 of the week is the best bet...and who else but Infinity to compile it cos he's in touch with everything new.

Instead of all-time greatest we can have all time top 10 Djs (ok we have to digest the results with a pinch of salt and assume all of em are equally good than fight over it !)and top 10 songs by each of those top 10 Djs.
