Review: Tiesto @ Koolhaus
Do tell....
besides the standard fair (crowd, ginos, barbies and asian crackheads) how did he do?

it's still goin on right now...
wells this is now my UN-Tiesto nite went..
decided to go check out Aquasky at Surface Niteclub downtown .. while heading down on the 404 with the sick music and bass goin bam bam bam in my friend's Protege 5 we see the Toronto city lights and see the flood lights rising from Koolhaus.. and i'm like, it is happening.. damn ..
anyhow, the party at Surface was hype tho .. !! sexy ass drum and bass , jungle women moving their cute bods. boy can they dance ! much better than trance girls imho ..
anyhow, so yea the party was hype and got to see my (hopefully still) gf again there .. so all in all had fun , even tho i wasn't at Tiesto..
so yea .. how was it (Tiesto).. ?

fucked up once (big time) when he was mixing from vinyl to cd, the whole set just stopped, he dropped his usual set nothing special,
nice seeing u all TA's, a lot of hot looking girls
overall 6/10
more reviews later
Before you guys flame me here .... this review is coming from someone who expected Trance.
THE SETUP .... OUSTANDING !!! GOLD CLUBB SERIES really made the KH look and sound AMAZING !!!
Tiesto set was "OK" tonight.
He spun a lot of progressive and not enuff Trance. Some techno here and there ... but, overall I'm dissapointed with his set. I was expecting to hear more trance, b/c of his set at Aria and the recent track list someone posted. Even though he spun some classic trance track here and there ... I was a little happy.
What a suprise, I never knew a NET meets were that fun ... seriously, NUFF respect goes out to "ALL" the TAs I met tonight. You guys are pretty fun to chill with. We did had a huge group kickin'

Meh...my Un-Tiesto night consisted of some solid funky house @ a local club. Met a buncha people from highschool whom I haven't seen for a few years...it was all good.
DESIDEL bastard!!! I had no clue ther was a jungle party going on in TO...dammit, I'd love to hit one of those...
Shit, at last nightmare, jungle&dnb djs were ripping the place apart, I loved it!! Would you please be so kind and drop me a message on ICQ next time an event like that comes up?!?!?! Biiiaaatch!!!!
Next party is BLA for me, 21st, need some psy/goa in my life, been a while...
Oh yeah, most of my clubing/raving friends went to see Tiesto, but I didn't go cause:
1. It's Guvernment (BAAAaaaaAAALEH!)
2. ^^^ + it's over-packed on special nights (I like dancing, jumping up&down doesn't count...)
3. I don't like Tiesto THAT much to suffer through the top 2 reasons.
4. Crowd sucks more often than not, no unity! (Big ups to those who think that Tiesto can unite ginos, pimps, gays, pushers, ravers...etc...no disrespect meant to any representatives of those social groups)
Anyway, those are some of the reasons why I didn't go. Hope you people had a blast, gimme some reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your replies will affect me when deciding whether to go to Guv in the future or not...
A little note for those who'll start screaming that it was in koolhaus and not guv...same shit imo...
ok, it is 6am, i cant talk, lost my vioce (at least i can type), I went to Koolhause last night with the fever 38C, flue, and there was even point where i was thinking not going. I did not regert i went...
Tiesto is Tiesto (His magik does it!!!!!!!!!!), there was not many special moments and the reason for me to complain was not Tiesto, but the fucking sound system, 50 - 120 hz bass was overloading the air, i coun't hear much of the songs. BTW, it looked like one of the amps tripped cos rear speakers (tweeters) were quite for a while.
When Tiesto stopped his mix (i was too far couldn't see why), looks like it got back to normal and THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT WAS URBAN TRAIN ( and the song before it)!!!Is sounded awesome, it was probably the only song where I heard the tune. I actually saw the TUNE!! poster too... Die Another Day was amazing but once bass line kicked in, i couldn't hear the actual melody, in the breaks it was awesome, there were some other new tracks that were pretty good to me. Most of the staff u can hear from live @ oslo radio - dec 6th set.
It wasn't packed, I think it was pretty good, on the back we had some fresh air comming through emergency doors, the crowd was ok, c'mon, if you compare it with guv night, the crowd was very europian like, there were many nice gils, and well, the gino's, don't bother me much, i think Gino's are just part of euro culture (all the videos i saw from any kind of euro TRANCE SESSION, there were gino's just like here, wet, shirtless, overpamped. They were so polite that night, maybe cos the party was $50(big ppl are invited,lol))... Koolhaus is the right place to fit 3000 peeps.
Met TA's as usual, i hope TATGIRL post some pics from the night...
Ok, there were some ppl in the line up that were halarious. "I hope this Piesto, thats right, Piesto spins some r & b tonight. The guy looked Eminem like, lol, i saw him in the club later on, he was dissapointed, no Hip-Hop. 50 bucks in the air. There were actually the group of them, they probably were expecting that that balck dude after Tiesto would spin some CRAP, well, he span even harder then Verwest. It didn't sound bad at all. I wish I saw guys face after party.
Ok, another joke, the asian dude next to me asked me like 5 times "Is this tiesto spinning yet??? (U know every time we cheered, he thought the amn showed up, i guess he wanted to see him badly)". "No it is Luke Fair kid", how da fuck did he get in there, he was like 3'3.
P.S. I have a feeling i am getting to old for the parties like this. Damn, i was so fucking tired. Well, probably cos i am sick...
OK, i am going to bad, need some sleep

with no expecations, i had a great time.
at the end of the set tiesto threw his headphones into the crowd.
shook a few hands and signed our little TUNE flyer that is now completed in all it's glory with signatures of
AVB.PVD.FERRY & TIESTO.
just got back from tiesto. was brilliant to hear flaming june. anyone know who spun after tiesto? thank you, tatgirl for the introductions. now i must sleeep...
Just about to go to sleep..
A few words: FUCKIN' AWESOME BUT FUCKIN' SHORT ! With this performance Tiesto has silenced all the critics that he is playing cheezy and old trance!
My brain needs sleep! Party was good, Tiesto's set WAS just ok. Nothing spectacular but it was still ok. The women in that place...
Will post more later.
OOOOOOH god whatta night!!! beautiful girls, great music!!!it was just awsome, I relly cant complain about anything, it was just TOO GOOD!!
Iwill post 2 seperate reviews later, 1 about all those HOOOOOT girls
and my experience(hehe it was soo funny)

and another review about everything else!!!
ok bed time for bed now.Cant feel my legs right now.
Has anyone seen my voice? I lost it somewhere.....
I realize I'm a bit under the weather, but man my voice is shittier now than if I'd smoked 2 packs of cloves.
EXCELLENT meet up, everyone.
Sorry I lost many of you- the place was rammed.
Thought Luke Fair did a great job. Turned out a lot better than I'd expected him to be as an opener.
Tiesto- don't get me wrong- I had a great time tonite, but his set didn't 'wow' me. Was so happy to hear "Tears from the Moon" tho. I expected to hear a bunch of the tracks he played from recent gigs of his. I danced the whole nite, but nothing made my jaw drop to the floor. A lot of unfamiliar tracks, but a little too proggy for a Tiesto set. Crowd went nuts when he dropped "Flight 643". He closed w/"The Prophet", and I was up front for that- and that fuckin' bass was out of control!!!! Couldn't hear the song for shit. Honestly, I think the vibe in the room was better than any song Tiesto dropped.
Dekoze afterwards- played awesome remix of "Rhythm is a dancer", "Baguette", & that 'slave to the drumbeat' song that's always played at Guv- doesn't anyone know that track?
BTW- did u catch the other person with the spelling toy? COPYCAT!!!!!!!!
Will try to get those pics up online soon. I'm reallllly tired and can't think straight right now, so I'll end it here. to be continued.....
-Nat
OH MY GOD!
Just got back - its 8am Sunday
Tiesto had a 3 hr 20 minutes set I believe. Too short obviously but he KILLED IT. Track I heard:
Iio - At The End (2nd Track)
Andain - Summer is Calling
Conjure One - Tears from the Moon
Vitalic - La Rock
Tomcraft - Lonliness
Tiesto - Flight 632
Tiesto - Urban Train
Madonna - Die Another Day (Tiesto Mix)
Tiesto - Sparkles - NOT SURE??????
CJ Bolland - The Prophet (Last Track)
There is tons more but can't think of them right now
and De-Koze played:
Age of Love - Age of Love
Underworld - Cowgirl ?????
Picotto - Baguette
Pearl Jam - Better Man (Remix) <---- Last track - it KILLED
more tracks
Mindcircus- Way out West
LOL- "Flight 632"????? Ok pseudocoder....!
Can't really say much about Luke Fair's set. Didn't quite sober up until Tiesto started spinning
I was expecting more trance in his set but I ain't complaining. Went absolutely insane when he dropped flight 643 which is one of my all time favs.
I was very pleasantly surprised to see so many women in attendance, and hot ones at that. Got elbowed in the face more times than usual by ginos in a hurry to get at those hot chics
It sucks being only 55
I felt that the bass was a bit too much as well. Dont get me wrong. Im a bass junkie but it was kinda drowning out the rest of the music. Im glad the guv crew decided not to let more ppl without tickets in. It wasnt a catastrophe like labour of love. Had more than enuf room to dance in all areas of kool haus, cept the front of the stage of course.
It was great seing many familiar faces again and thanks to those of you who wished me happy birthday that was very nice.
I had an awesome time, so overall I give the night a 7/10.
Just got in now it's 9 am and I had a blast A O.K set with one big fuck up. But hey Tiesto can do whatever he wants. One of the Highlights for me was when he dropped JURGEN VRIES - THE OPERA SONG (MAGIK MUSIC REMIX)
Wow what a Beautiful song!! Anyways It was just nicely packed and the place was jumpin' a couple times ie;(FLIGHT 643) at first I thought it was a little cheezy him playing that, but then I remembered that it's his song, so it means a little more! Anyways guys respect to Tranceecstacy You looked like you were having a blast! Thanx BTW!
Anyways peace out!
Glad you guys had a good time. Cannot wait for the pictures!

Luke Fair is always amazing....vastly underated as a deejay. Tiesto was horrible, his transistions were weak, his mixing was poor...koolhaus was so packed it was not funny. Tiesto played some decent songs but he played some weak vocal tunes and I'm sorry but that just does not cut it
Luke Fair 10/10
Tiesto 5/10
BTW...met some many ta's....can't remember all their names....oh well.
just got back home.. what can i say? the night was awsome with such a huge TA turnout
. And as usual plenty, I mean PLENTY of hot women in there last night. it wasn't the usual trancey Tiesto set I was expecting to hear but even still I enjoyed every minute of the hard prog/tech sheit he spun last night. somehow I had a feeling he was gonna drop Flight 643 and Silence??(I thought I heard this track... maybe I was just too drunk). the crow just went nuts during that point. Big respects to DEKOZE... He totally destroyed every one of us who danced till the very end. have to agree to what Blissntrance kept saying "He definitely must be on crack". I have never seen a DJ so much into his set as DEKOZE. he was just pumpin out hard sheit one after the other. hahaha
yes! the bass was just over the top last nigth... I couldn't hear a bit of vocals in the tracks last night. just pure bass
anywayz.. i'm off the sleep now. thanks for the great night TAs... ya'll definitely know how to party hard!
