Owen CAN MAYBE be the player to lead England to the World cup, he just needs the service. As long as Steven Gerrard is in the midfield anything can happen

IMO hes overated cause of the press and i think it actaully gets to his performances some times! but he is not better than ruud van or henry! no where near it!

Owen is one of the best in the premiership, although he aint in any way better than ruud van nistelrooy and no better than Sir Alan Shearer!

dont get me wrong owen is great, i love liverpool
but a striker needs to be able to head the ball and have strength so he isnt on the floor half the time. shearer is the ideal striker when he was a little younger.
owen has a sublime touch so if they give him the service, he will finish it

Owen, yes! When he playes good, everyone praises him, when he playes bad, everyone shoots him down. But I guess that is every like that. But be for sure, when Owen performs, he kicks Ass.

You can't deny that Owen is good, but a striker who can barely header a ball and is half the size of any defender can hardly be called the best striker in the country
Owen is overated. Big Style. He scored one goal at 98 world cup and everyone thought he was gold. This season Owen has had more than enough chances to score some simple goals and has missed them! The service is there for him. If Darius Vassells finishing was better then he would replace Owen in the England line up. Bout time other people realised that this lad is far too hyped up!
Owen isn't overrated at all!! If Liverpool doesn't want him anymore, he's more than welcome in Arnhem!!
