ok.. i need some help here..
i just realized that win ME doesn't support
Easy CD Creator 4.02
or Direct CD 3.01

and i need version 5 or something
and i dunno/can't find em anywhere..
anyone help me??
hehe..

or suggest a different program ??
with a nice lil link if possible

go get nero!! nero is a great proggy infin. 1st rate in every department of cd burning (audio, data, etc)

it's the proggy i use for win2k cause easy cd creator doesn't work on it either.

easy cd creator imo sucks shit compared to the other, less popular programs out there like nero or cdrwin. ez cd creator is more for like the mainstream burning. kind of like the alice deejay of cd writing software. lol.

dude, i dunno, u're the master, but might want to try CDR-WIN, i use it to do my CUE file stuff and burn the live sets......works great for me.....

Nero is the proggy I'm using and I'm just like u infinity, i'm using winME.. it works perfectly fine and is a much better software than Easy CD creator.

if u cant find it, I'll copy for u the Nero CD I have (using Nero burning software hehe) and send it to ya.

WinMe unfortunately sucks more than Win98 ...
I'm gonna switch soon to Mandrake 8.0

Infinity try goldenhawk , it's a nice program for burnin' CD's

ur all best to forget ME anyways... its poo... go back to win 98 (least likely out of all the currently available windows' to crash every 10 minutes) or go for linux..

Yup your right.
Since I got back from ME to Win 98 Second edtion, my craches less often!! just 1x every 30 minuts, instead of 1 every 10 minuts

try WinOnCD 3.8 Power Edition!!!!

its easier to handle than nero(i got this one either)and has bit more options!!

I have winME and it seems to crash often yes...
but win2000 they say is more reliable.. than ME or 98..

remember though, that win2k is based on the nt 4.0 code and that not all your hardware/software will neccesarily work properly.

Nero worked perfectly fine with my comp that runs windows ME, i don't know which burner it was though.. (yes i just borrowed it for a day)

I'm glad I read this thread. Someone gave me a copy of Win ME but I haven't loaded it yet. Now, from the looks of it, I won't be loading it at all. I'm comfortable with Win 98 SE
so I guess I'll just hang with it for a while...I'm in no hurry to change. I've had pretty good luck with Fireburner. I haven't gotten any buffer underruns like you get with Easy CD Creator...I don't know how it runs on ME, though.

but its NERO Which gives me a timeout error grrrrrrr

I use NERO 5 which works perfect for me, no problemo here. I also use Easy CD creator 5 sometimes but I like NERO better.

but 4.02d works in win2k
and as for win98 being the most stable... thats just crap
spend like $60 on 256mb of pc133 ram, install win2k, and thats the end of your probs
my machine will easily run for 2 weeks without problems since i went to 2000
98se peaked at like 8 days
just make sure you can get drivers for win2k...
my vid card had no me drivers so i never tested it :\

but i would def recommend 2k pro if you get a good amount of ram (at least 128mb)
