Rank 1 - Airwave re-released

TRANCE.NU -- Almost everybody knows this piece of art: Rank 1 - Airwave. In 2003 this track is going to be re-released with some new remixes! Read on for more info!

According to the official homepage from Rank 1 there will be a re-release from 'Rank 1 - Airwave', the Innercity theme from 1999.

Rank 1 producers Piet Bervoets and Benno de Goeij recently finished new remixes from this track. The vinyl release from the track will be probably at the end of February 2003.

I got tired of Rank 1 with the quickness.. It'd be great if they could produce somethin' even better than Airwave instead of releasing it again

Mhm... 2003 remake... should be good. I like their new style they showed in their last couple of remixes (Dreamland, Sound Of Love, Mind Made Up), so I think it will be good. I heard it has vocals or something... not too sure if I'll like that

A lot of these 2002 remakes have sucked. Look no further than Universal Nation 2002 for an example of a classic track ruined by a 2002 remake. Needless to say, I'm not too hyped about this re-release of Airwave.

Cant agree with you there. Personally I think these are class:

Push - Universal Nation 2002
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Liquid Summer Mix)
System F - Out Of The Blue 2002

All are new remakes of the tracks by the original artist. But Rank 1 can still easily screw up.

as in the album??? i got that back in summer, you get a free dvd with it, live from trance energy, is that what you mean?

no, the album was called symsonic, but piet & benno have reworked the tune itself into a more 'trancey' affair than the one on the album, which will hopefully be good, and it will get a release after airwave 2003 does.

Hopefully just Airwave 2003 on the a-side, and an extended version of one of the album tracks on the b-side (e.g. Cosmomatic, Conspiracy, Passage To The Unknown). Hopefully

I don't know this tune. All '02 &'03 remixes sound better than the originals to me. Especially Universal Nation. I hope there's an '02 remake of Cafe Del Mar.
