Sad

>> 10th grade
>>
>> As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She
>> was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and
>>wished she was mine. But she
>> didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up
>>to me and asked me for the notes
>> she had missed the day before and handed them to her. She said "thanks"
>>and gave me a kiss on
>> the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want
>>to be just friends, I love her but I'm
>> just too shy, and I don't know why.
>>
>> 11th grade
>>
>> The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears,
>>mumbling on and on about how her
>> love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't
>>want to be alone, so I did.
>> As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing
>>she was mine. After 2 hours, one
>> Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to
>>sleep. She
>> looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to
>>tell her, I want her to know
>> that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy,
>>and I don't know why.
>>
>> Senior year
>>
>> The day before prom she walked to my locker. "My date is sick" she
>>said; he's not going to go well, I
>> didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither
>>of us had dates, we would go
>> together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after
>>everything was over, I was standing at
>> her front door step! I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at
>>me with her crystal eyes. I
>> want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know
>>it. Then she said "I had the best
>> time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I
>>want her to know that I don't want
>> to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know
>>why.
>>
>> Graduation Day
>>
>> A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was
>>graduation day. I watched as
>> her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma.
>>I wanted her to be mine, but
>> she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone
>> went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged
>>her. Then she lifted her
>> head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and
>>gave me a kiss on the cheek. I
>> want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just
>>friends, I love her but I'm just too shy,
>> and I don't know why.
>>
>> A Few Years Later
>>
>> Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now.
>>I watched her say "I do" and
>> drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be
>>mine, but she didn`t see me like
>> that, and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said
>>"you came!". She said
>> "thanks" and kissed me on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to
>>know that I don't want to be
>> just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.
>>
>> Funeral
>>
>> Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my
>>"best friend". At the service,
>> they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is
>>what it read:
>> I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn't notice me like that,
>>and I know it. I want to tell
>> him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love
>>him but I'm just too shy, and I don't
>> know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me!
>> I wish I did too... I thought to my self, and I cried.
>>

ARGH! If this doesn't give all the shy people here motivation to just GO FOR IT I dunno what will. God knows I'm working on it, slowly getting there.

Better to try and get rejected than not try at all cuz if you don't try in the first place you'll never get anywhere.

I was jesting....
you know at the end of that e-mail it said "send this to 10 people and the person you secretly fancy that wants nothing to do with you because you're an internet nerd will love you forever!"
heh

what a fake ass story, but it has some truth to it. if a girl is interested GO FOR IT.

That's comedy. Lol.

Posted by whiskers on Dec-24-2002 01:36:

yeah... that's a great epitome of the quote: take the risk and deal with the consequences instead of doing nothing and wondering all your life what would've happened if you did something.

Posted by AnotherWay83 on Dec-24-2002 02:38:

lol...i could never be crazy abt a chic who wasn't interested in me, even for 5 mins...and btw, i dont think its all that sad either...the d00d was a loser

Posted by BTG on Dec-24-2002 02:47:

Its not sad. its pathetic.
although its not true *i'm assuming* i'm sure its happend to alot of people before.

Ok, well this is how i see it - > your single. you like a girl. so you ask her out. She says "Yes" then great. she says no, then nothing's changed. you're still single.

why do people get so scared about asking someone out? Plah.

Posted by drinkyourmilk on Dec-24-2002 03:01:

Actually this is what is happening in my life.. Every time I see her I sit there and look at her wondering "Why can't she be mine".. Then there are other times where I sit there and go, "Why did I ever become her friend?" O well, my life is a big mess now anyways So I'll just go sit in a corner and cry

It is a different story when you're friends with the girl, cuz asking her out and telling her how u feel could mess up the friendship. So you're stuck with risking the friendship or just holding your feelings in...I can see how it can get messy. The best thing to do is to tell her though, cuz if you do hold in the feelings you'll feel even worse and although it could mess up the friendship...it probably won't.

Looks like SOMEONE has an ego. Well you know not everyone is as brave as you are I'm in a shitty mood tonight, goin on a rampage against mean people. F*CK MEAN PEOPLE!

Posted by Endlesswave on Dec-24-2002 04:37:

Yeah, mean people SUCK ASS
As for the being rejected part, who cares, just DO IT. It's better than sitting there wondering IF she feels the same way you do and if you do jack shit about it you'll never know.

i dont have an ego at all.
I've had really shitty luck when it comes to women lately.
i just dont see the point in hiding your feelings, it wont get you anywhere, and it just drags it on longer than it has to.

well people that are friends, like in the poem, if the other doesn't feel the same way, it will change the friend ship forever and would act akward towards eachother.
