Comfort Zone - New Years Day

I heard that Addy, Dekoze, Jelo, Kenny Glasgow and others are going to be spinning on Jan. 1st. Not a big fan of the actual club, but the music that is played in that club is always amazing (at least on sunday mornings). Only way to describe it is like dark, electro, progressive, tribal. So quality.

You heard right, and that's only a few of the DJs that are gonna end up in there on Jan. 1st... and I might actually hit the CZ after like a year of absence from that place (due to all the sketchiness and drugs of CZ), just for the love of the music...

Yeah, this definately seems like a good place for all TA's to meetup for a little new years party extension......i think doors open at 8am, and i heard rumours that the admission is $20. Its gonna be packed im sure.....so i think all who are going would be wise to meetup with me when the doors open!

Yeah, the sketchiness and drugs are a little extreme at times in there, but i think if we have a nice group of TA's in there, we'll hardly notice them. Plus the music is a big enough distraction as it is.

Time to broke out the guns for this party !
J/K ... I stopp going there b/c of how unpredictable the crowd was
Many times the crowd would be happpy ... and suddenly, it turns evil !!!
fights break out way tooooooooooooo often there.

Yeah I hear the Hell's Angel's own the place. That's why you see that huge ass biker guy outside. I've never been but for some reason it think it would be like club "SPace" (the one they shut down because it was a veritable crackhouse.

Comfort Zone on New Years day is AMAZING Wicked crowd, and best of all WICKED music! The place is really packed, and stays packed all day and night. The one thing I noticed last year that totally caught me off guard was the sound system I remember walking through the dancefloor saying "this sounds amazing" Anyways, Comfort Zone on New Years day is the one time that you can go there and really have a good time. The vibe is good (because of new years) and the people aren't too schetchy! SEE YOU ALL THERE!

I just went back to comfort zone a few weeks ago (after an absense of 2 years from that place) after hitting up Viva . To my surprise me and my buddy had the most amazing time there!!

The vibe was awesome and people were nice as hell. It really gave me a different outlook on that place. I would definately like to hit up comfort zone again but I just don't think my friends would be up for it on new years day though.

For those of you that have some misconceptions about that place, you better check it out. I was pleasantly surprised and had a much better time than I thought I would.

its true... biker gang owns it... thats why the place never got raided either...

but other than the fact the place is a shithole, it has the best music in the city... its worth the trade-off...

Well, every half-decent DJ in this city will probably hit that place on Jan. 1st, so you can expect one hell of a party... (when it comes to music, at least, I don't know about the crowd).

I've never been....where exactly is it?

I'm curious to check this place out. Hopefully I'll make it til that late... )

Its on Spadina and College......not really well marked, id just look for the lineup of sketchy people

Posted by Wurm on Dec-29-2002 04:12:

I went there after Tiesto, and the place was rammed. We had to pay the VIP cover (Very Increased Price), but once inside the dancefloor was the place to be for some thumping tribal and techy house. Go at least once in your life. It's not for everyone, and definitely not a place to 'sketch out' and sit down on the chairs. Go to dance!

Posted by Skipper on Dec-30-2002 01:09:

Hmmm, the party I'm going to goes til noon so it's not like I'm going to be stuck looking for somewhere to go, but I might want a change of scenery and music...hmmmm
