best way is to skipp the "toy" programs like fruity and reason

get cubase sx and get 10 different vst instruments and start making music on the same program as the artist

Posted by ekko on Dec-26-2002 04:35:

you do know alot of the "artist"s use those "toy" programs right?

LOL - you're clueless, aren't you?

1. Form your lips to make a small hole.
2. Blow out.

It may take some practice.

rofl, you have no idea what you are on about

Don't underestimate the potential of reason (I dont have fruity loops so I cant say anything about that).

A skilled producer can use any audio environment to complete a good song.

No, the best way to proceed involves ignoring the comments of fools

The way i learned was just buying a decent keyboard. And constantly kept playing it coming up with melodies. As far as for making beats Orion was the first sequencer that I used helped me understand how beats and percusion is created. No matter what software you have if you don't start with the basics like playing a keyboard and knowing how to make drum beats. you will be lost.

Fruity:
there are Robster's (Parker) stuff
and also Lishtworks! and Elude - redrawn (Project T & his pal, steve? )...

ok, it's not trance. but some cool deep techno stuff.

check Alexander Kowalski - Reasons (Kanzleramt80/EFA) [<-- guess what program he used ]

i had no chance to listen to it, yet. but i know a lot of his former releases, and they kick ass.
just listen to some of his tracks like 'Progress', 'Echoes' or 'Oxygen'. he also made an awesome remix of Johannes Heil's 'Paranoid Dancer'
