your thoughts on Autographed Vinyl?
I'm just curious on everyone's thoughts on autographed Vinyl . . .
have you ever bought some before? do you think it's cool?
would you, like me, prefer the autograph on the sleeve and the label of the actual Vinyl (just in case)?
i dunno what other questions to ask . . . but what do you all think?
well.. i would say its the best place to get an autograf on.. from a dj... tho only thing i had nearby was my mobilephone.. so on the back it says "Armin van Buuren"

any records i've had signed are on the label
as for buying autographed vinyl
i wouldn't buy it cause it had an autograph on it
unless it's a classic track (but then i'd buy it anyway)
i only buy records i would play, or possibly play in the future

Never bought an autographed vinyl. But I have brought vinyl for Tiesto, Ferry, Digweed, and Sasha to sign.
i now have chris c added to my collection of autographed wax
and this is a record that i'll be playing for quite some time still

VRM-10 mixer
i bought this mixer last year.
Initially the store only had one floor model in stock but before I could get to the store DJ George Acosta bought it as soon as the store opened.
I had to wait 2 months to get it.
Compared to the DJM 600 it's a totally different mixer.
The EQs are different completely. It's like learning how to mix all over again. But when you do, you have a whole new set of possibilites.
The sound this thing produces is completely different than what the vestax or pioneer mixers put out. For one, it plays louder and has more headroom. I measured the signal at about 12 volts. But the obvious difference is how CD's sound through the mixer. Because of the Tubes that glow with a liquid mercury, the harsh sound of CD's become smooth and analogue sounding.
The best part about owning this mixer is how demo recorded mixes come out. They are up to par with professional studio recordings.
let me know if you want to know about the filters and DSP effects.
Tamtui that is a dam nice mixer dude...
oh yeah tell us how u got the autographs on ya mixer and how did they like the mixeR?
trance helps the mind.
long story told short
This is the short version:
I didn't take it to the club in case you are wondering.
Ferry and Kid were touring through the city and stopped by my studio.
I told them that I got a new DJ mixer and that they should check it out.
I had it all set up...he he...
Kid Vicious had seen it before and mentioned to Ferry that Tiesto had bought one last year and he liked it a lot. Ferry had never seen it before and since I just happen to have one of his mixed CD's he wanted to give it a go. He primarily mentioned that the sound was nice and warm and that the faders were really smooth. Kid likes the filters and said that he likes the separate stanton filter units that they have at Godskitchen.
Then a few weeks later Armin came over said that he had never seen it before. He mentioned that the sound was similar to the rotary rane mixer. He seemed to like the EQ. Then he noticed Ferry's autograph and I quickly asked if he could sign the next channel fader.
So I got one fader left. Hopefully, I can get either Johan, or Tiesto to sign it.
nice
thanks a lot
looks like i'll be spending my cash on this mixer instead of the djm 600
I've never bought a signed vinyl, rather obtained signatures in person from the DJs:
Paul Van Dyk
Judge Jules, his wife
Maxi Jazz (Faithless)
I've always gotten them to sign on the sleeve, since I want to play the actual tracks, but I'll always put the sleeves away and then just put the records into plain white sleeves.
