Banners!
Ok, I can understand the point for a site having banners...but there has got to be a point where the line is drawn. I play this text based game on the internet (Utopia, I'm sure someone on here has heard of it/played it) and they have banners that make noise and say shit. It's totally unnecessary and they piss me off so bad, I'm sitting here listening to my music and out of nowhere I hear "Hey! Over here!..."
AHH! Die banners, die!

hmm..I don't get that from Utopia, but I know what you mean, I hate banners with sound and those new ones that are hard to close
Hahahaha. That's kinda funny. Instead of having ones that just talk, they should make sexual comments. I think that would get peoples' attention more quickly.

Banners are a necessary evil. Especilally for sites with lots of users, and has a lot of content/media.
Direct connect has them too. Theres one that plays an awful musical jingle, but you can turn its sound off. The ones that are even worse are the flash ads that keep saying WANT TO MAKE MONEY? CLICK HERE NOW! every 5 minutes. clicking them doesnt make them go away, either. Whoever designs and allows such banners on their sites need to have their legs broken

I'm on BattleFields, I just get 1 ad each time at the login page, and sometimes I get two more after I log in, but none of them have sounds.
